Does free Episode 2 mean the full season is free?
No. Xbox lists these as add-ons, while the complete-season products are separate paid listings: The Telltale Series – The Complete Season and The Enemy Within – The Complete Season. The free add-on does not by itself provide the other episodes. The first listing says the content requires a game sold separately; for the second game, Xbox specifically names Episode 1 as a prerequisite.
How do the episodes fit into the stories?
Batman: The Telltale Series
“Children of Arkham” is the second of the first season’s five episodes. The official Telltale game page presents the title as a five-episode story.

Batman: The Enemy Within
This is the follow-up season. Its five episodes are “The Enigma,” “The Pact,” “Fractured Mask,” “What Ails You,” and “Same Stitch,” according to the official Telltale game page. The free listing covers Episode 2, “The Pact,” but the Xbox add-on requires Episode 1.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you carry your choices into The Enemy Within?
Telltale Support says to select “Continue Story” in The Enemy Within to import the first season’s save. If that does not work, choose “New Story”; the game then prompts you to make season-one choices. These are the story-import steps in Telltale’s Batman FAQ, updated November 28, 2023. The FAQ also includes mobile-specific episode-restoration guidance, which is not an Xbox troubleshooting procedure.
