The Two-Handed Sword Talisman is found in a chest at Temple Town Ruins in Rauh Base, in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Game-reference sources report that it boosts qualifying two-handed attacks by 15% against enemies and 10% against other players. Its effect does not apply to certain weapons when their two-handed stance switches to a paired-weapon moveset.

What the Two-Handed Sword Talisman does

The talisman enhances attacks made with qualifying two-handed weapons. The item data listed by the Elden Ring reference reports a 15% increase against enemies and 10% against other players; a second game reference also reports the 15% / 10% distinction (Elden Ring Wiki). These are values reported by reference sources, not fresh hands-on test results, and game balance may change with patches.

Paired-weapon movesets are an exception

Holding a weapon in both hands does not guarantee the talisman applies. The item-data notes identify armaments whose two-handed stance is replaced by a paired-weapon moveset as exceptions. Examples include Starscourge Greatsword, Rellana’s Twin Blades, and Falx. Check the weapon’s actual moveset rather than relying only on how your character is holding it.

When it may suit a build

Consider the talisman if you regularly use a qualifying two-handed moveset and want to devote a talisman slot to stronger attacks. Its reported increase differs between PvE and PvP, so weigh the relevant mode against other talismans available to your build. A weapon with a paired-weapon moveset is not a reason to equip it for this effect.

Item description and expansion context

The in-game description reads: “A talisman depicting a warrior two-handing a sword. Enhances attacks with two-handed weapons. The horned warriors were fitting figureheads for the military might of the tower they kept watch over, their deft attacks slashing through any and all foes.” It connects the talisman’s imagery to horned warriors guarding a tower, but does not name a speaker.

The Two-Handed Sword Talisman is part of Shadow of the Erdtree, which Bandai Namco describes as downloadable content for Elden Ring (Bandai Namco’s expansion page).
