Two Point Museum Crashing on Xbox Series X|S: What’s Fixed and What to Try

Some Two Point Museum crashes on Xbox Series X|S have been fixed by updates, but the title “SOLVED” would be misleading as a blanket claim: an official report dated June 25, 2026 still lists a crash when loading the Undee Docks Art map as a known issue, with a fix in progress. Update the game, try the developer’s full Xbox power cycle, and use the trigger and map involved to decide whether you should report a reproducible bug.

Is Two Point Museum crashing on Xbox fixed?

Only some reported crash bugs are marked resolved. The official Undee Docks Art thread says that map-specific loading crash was a known issue and that the team was working on a fix. The report describes a crash roughly ten seconds after the loading screen when selecting the Artsy/Undee Docks map. Later replies in the thread reported no update. That status does not establish whether a later patch has since fixed it.

Other reports have different outcomes: an expedition-return crash on Series X was marked resolved after an update, while a Series S report of crashes after roughly 15–20 minutes was marked investigating. A crash when moving an Aquarium Room containing fish was listed as fixed in version 10.0.227751 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5; that release-note confirmation appears in a community repost rather than a primary release-notes page.

Match the crash to its trigger

The trigger is more useful than the word “crashing”: a repeatable crash on one map points to a different problem from a dashboard return during ordinary play. These official reports describe distinct cases:

Moving an Aquarium Room with fish inside Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 Listed as fixed in version 10.0.227751 in a community repost of release notes.

These statuses apply to the specific reports, not every crash that may look similar. If your trigger is different, note it rather than assuming one of the fixes applies.

Try the official Xbox power cycle

Two Point Studios’ troubleshooting guidance recommends this full power cycle for Xbox Series X|S. It clears temporary console state; it is not a substitute for a game update when the same map or action reliably reproduces a bug.

What to include in a bug report

If a crash persists—especially if it happens repeatedly at the same point—report the details through the Two Point Museum bug forum. Include the Xbox model, game version, map or museum, the action immediately before the crash, whether it happens every time, and whether it began after an update. This helps distinguish a map-specific loading failure from a general or session-timing crash.
