Ubisoft announced The Crew Motorfest on January 31, 2023, with a release window later that year. The company set September 14, 2023 as the release date in June and confirmed the game launched on that date. Set on O’ahu, the open-world racer was presented as a celebration of car culture.
What Ubisoft announced in January 2023
Ubisoft described The Crew Motorfest as the next entry in The Crew franchise and an open-world racing game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower. Its setting is O’ahu in the Hawaiian archipelago, with driving routes through Honolulu, down volcano slopes, across forest trails and along beaches. The announcement also introduced an Insider Program intended to give players early access and let them provide feedback.

The January announcement named PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC, and also mentioned Ubisoft+ on PC and Amazon Luna. Ubisoft’s June release-date article later listed Ubisoft+ on PC, Xbox and Amazon Luna. These are platform and service statements from 2023; availability and terms can change by region and over time.
Release date and launch content
On June 12, 2023, Ubisoft announced September 14 as the release date. Its September launch release confirmed the game was available that day. Ubisoft’s launch-era materials described more than 610 vehicles and 15 Playlists. The vehicle count is a launch figure, not a current catalog total.

Playlists and car-culture themes
Ubisoft described Playlists as multi-event campaigns built around car-culture themes. Players could take them on at any time and in any order. Previewed themes included Japanese street racing, off-road driving, motorsports, vintage cars and Lamborghini cars. The 15 Playlist count applies to launch materials and should not be read as a count of current content.
Rewind and collection import
Ubisoft’s preview described a rewind feature that could undo up to 15 seconds in supported events. The launch materials also said players could optionally import most vehicles and vanity items from The Crew 2, subject to the stated eligibility rules. That launch-era description does not establish which items are eligible under current rules.

Platforms and editions at launch
Ubisoft’s September 2023 launch release confirmed physical editions for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, while the Windows PC release was described as digital. These details describe the launch lineup, not necessarily present-day editions or regional stock.
