Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Some Ubisoft Connect PC users have reported that the Store, Games, News or Ubisoft+ tabs are missing, blank or stuck loading while the Library still works. That points to a partial client, account-session or catalog problem—not confirmed evidence of a complete Ubisoft outage. Try the web Store and Library → Free Games before reinstalling the launcher.
What is happening in Ubisoft Connect?
The reports describe several related but distinct symptoms:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- The Store tab is missing, black, gray or permanently blank.
- The Games, News or Ubisoft+ tab does not appear or never populates.
- The Store spins indefinitely while the Library remains accessible.
- A free promotion appears in a browser but not in Ubisoft Connect.
- The client shows “No games found,” an account-verification error or an error when registering a free title.
Some users could still launch installed games even though Store content failed. Others found that the launcher could not validate ownership. Test those functions separately: sign in, open the Library, launch an installed game and visit the Ubisoft Store in a browser.

There is no official confirmation in the available evidence of a Ubisoft-wide outage covering all of these tabs. Third-party outage trackers have recorded other Ubisoft incidents, including login and Store-access problems, but they are indicators rather than official incident notices: StatusGator’s Ubisoft status history and Down for Everyone or Just Me.

Ubisoft Connect is a free Ubisoft service delivered through the desktop app and games. If the website works but the desktop client does not, the problem is more likely to involve the local client, its embedded web content or the current account session. If both fail, an account, regional catalog or Ubisoft service issue becomes more plausible. You can also check Ubisoft’s official support and contact routes.
Try these workarounds first
1. Check Library → Free Games
- Open Ubisoft Connect.
- Select Library.
- Look for a Free Games category or filter near the top.
- Select the available title and choose Add to Library, or the equivalent claim option.
- Restart Ubisoft Connect after the entitlement is added.
Users reported that a free title appeared under Library → Free Games even when the Store tab failed. This is a community-reported workaround, not a guaranteed or officially documented fix. The offer may also vary by region or have expired.
2. Claim content through Ubisoft’s website
Open Ubisoft’s official free-games page in a browser. Use the Store address for your own country or region, sign in, and check whether the title can be added to your account. Do not use unofficial download sites or modified launchers.

One community report said that claiming a free Ubisoft game on the web and allowing Ubisoft Connect to process the download caused the Store tab to reappear. Results varied, so treat this as an anecdotal workaround rather than a repair procedure. Do not repeatedly submit a purchase if the account does not clearly confirm the transaction.
3. Try another browser or a private window
If the web claim page fails, try Microsoft Edge or Chrome in a private window. Temporarily disable aggressive ad-blocking or script-blocking extensions, confirm that the correct Ubisoft account is signed in, and retry once. A report that Firefox failed while Edge worked may reflect cookies, extensions, login state or a temporary routing problem—not a verified browser-compatibility rule.
Could this be related to the Ghost Recon Future Soldier giveaway?
Community reports from early August 2026 appeared around attempts to claim Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Some users said the Store or Ubisoft+ tabs failed while the giveaway could still be reached through Library → Free Games or the website. That timing makes the promotion a possible trigger or coincidence, but it does not prove that the giveaway caused the client problem.

Standard Ubisoft Connect troubleshooting
- Fully exit the client. Close Ubisoft Connect, then use the Windows system tray to exit it if it remains running. Reopen it and sign in again.
- Restart Windows. This clears a stuck client process and refreshes authentication components.
- Check for updates. Allow Ubisoft Connect to update before testing the tabs again. No specific client version has been established for this incident.
- Temporarily remove network interference. Disable a VPN, proxy, DNS filter or network-level ad blocker, then test again. These tools can affect authentication and regional Store content.
- Try another connection. A phone hotspot can help distinguish a local network or DNS problem from a client or account problem.
- Check Windows time settings. Turn on automatic date, time and time-zone synchronization. Incorrect system time can interfere with secure sign-in.
- Run the launcher as administrator only as a test. If this changes the result, the issue may involve local permissions; it is not proof that permanent administrator mode is required.
Should you reinstall Ubisoft Connect?
Reinstallation should be a later step, not the first response. It may not help if the failure is server-side, regional or tied to an account entitlement. It can also require another login and may leave you needing to redetect installed games or download launcher files again.
First test the web Store, Library, another network and a clean client restart. If the website works but the installed client consistently does not, reinstalling from Ubisoft’s official Ubisoft Connect download page is reasonable. Do not delete game folders or the entire Ubisoft installation without checking what data will be removed and how your installed games will be detected afterward.

If the free game or Store still does not appear
- The promotion expired: an old giveaway may no longer be available.
- Region restriction: Store catalogs and promotions vary by country. Use your local Store URL.
- Wrong account: the browser and desktop client may be signed into different Ubisoft accounts.
- Entitlement delay: a successfully claimed title may take time to appear in the Library.
- VPN or proxy interference: location and authentication checks may fail.
- Third-party ownership: Steam, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect can have separate purchase and account-linking states. Switching storefronts may not bypass a Ubisoft account problem.
- Offline mode: Store, News, Ubisoft+ and other online tabs cannot be expected to populate while the client is offline.
If an already-installed game launches normally but the Store is unavailable, do not reinstall the game. Troubleshoot Ubisoft Connect and the account connection instead.
When to contact Ubisoft Support
Escalate the issue if the browser and client both fail, the Library cannot validate ownership, or the tabs remain missing after the basic checks. Include:
- A screenshot or short recording of the missing, blank or loading tab.
- The exact date and local time of the failure.
- Your Ubisoft Connect version, Windows edition, country or region and connection type.
- Whether login, Library, Ubisoft+, installed games and the web Store work independently.
- The title you were trying to claim or purchase.
Submit those details through Ubisoft’s Game Support or Store Support. Avoid downloading unofficial “fixed” Ubisoft Connect files, registry scripts or cracked clients; they are not established solutions and can put the account or PC at risk.
Bottom line
The available reports support a partial Ubisoft Connect problem affecting some users, not a confirmed total Ubisoft outage. Test the official web Store and Library → Free Games, then restart and sign back into the client. Check the account, region and network before considering a repair or reinstall. Community workarounds may help, but only Ubisoft Support can resolve an account-specific entitlement or service issue.
