This is a practical order for following the main character arc, not a complete chronology of every game or other franchise story. The first four titles form Nathan Drake’s numbered sequence; The Lost Legacy shifts the lead to Chloe Frazer and is a natural next game after A Thief’s End.
How closely do the Uncharted stories connect?
There is continuity and character progression across the series, but you do not have to play every earlier entry to understand a later one. PlayStation’s Legacy of Thieves Collection FAQ says each game has a unique, standalone narrative and can be enjoyed without playing the others. Starting with Drake’s Fortune simply gives you the fullest view of Nathan’s progression and returning characters.
Why play The Lost Legacy after Uncharted 4?
The Lost Legacy stars Chloe Frazer alongside Nadine Ross. PlayStation identifies Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as Chloe’s first appearance. Because the game has its own lead story, it works as a follow-up after Nathan’s main arc without being a required chapter to understand A Thief’s End.

Can you start with Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy?
Yes. If you want to try the series without committing to all five games, PlayStation says you can start with any entry. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a valid entry point, and The Lost Legacy is also a standalone adventure. Choose the full sequence above if character continuity matters most; choose the game that interests you if you would rather jump straight in.
