First, note when and where the crash happens
Before changing anything, compare the problem with your other games and record whether Undisputed fails at launch or crashes during a particular activity. Note whether the PS5 displays an error code. These observations help you describe the issue to support; they do not establish its cause.
- One game or several: note whether other PS5 games also crash.
- Launch or in-game: record when the failure occurs and what you were doing immediately beforehand.
- Error or no error: write down any displayed code exactly.
Try these PS5 troubleshooting steps
1. Restart the PS5
Restart the console, then try launching Undisputed again. PlayStation includes restarting among its general steps for a game that will not start.
2. Move the game to internal storage if needed
If Undisputed is installed on USB extended storage, move its game data to the PS5’s internal storage and test again. PlayStation recommends internal storage for this troubleshooting case.

3. Check for a game update
Use the PS5’s game-update option to check whether an update is available. Do not assume a new patch is coming: Steel City Interactive said on 29 April 2026 that it would make no further content drops or updates for Undisputed.
4. Check for PS5 system software updates
Make sure the console is running the latest system software. PlayStation includes checking system software in its game-start troubleshooting guidance.

A PS4 or PS5 console with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended. 5. Restore licenses
Restoring licenses is one of PlayStation’s listed steps for PS5 game-start problems. It is most relevant when the problem involves access or launching; it is not a proven fix for crashes during play.
6. Delete and redownload the game
If the simpler checks do not help, delete Undisputed and download it again. PlayStation recommends using a wired internet connection if possible. Check that you can access your game and saved data before deleting; do not treat a reinstall as a guaranteed cure.

7. Try Safe Mode cache and database options
PlayStation also lists clearing the cache and rebuilding the database through Safe Mode. Follow the official PlayStation game-start troubleshooting instructions and the linked Safe Mode guidance for the exact steps. These options are general console troubleshooting, not an Undisputed-specific remedy, and they may not resolve the issue.
Record the details before contacting support
Capture the exact error code, if one appears, and write down the steps that reproduce the crash. Include what happened just before it, whether it occurs every time, and whether other games are affected. PlayStation asks users seeking help to provide error codes, a detailed description with reproduction steps, and a screenshot or video when possible.

Contact the support team that matches the problem
If the issue appears limited to Undisputed, the official game site directs players to PLAION support. If other PS5 games or the console itself are also having problems, contact PlayStation Support and provide the details you recorded.

In a statement dated 29 April 2026, Steel City Interactive said the game would remain available across offline and online modes but that there would be no further content drops or updates. That means players should not wait for an announced crash patch; the statement does not identify a cause for PS5 crashes or promise that the troubleshooting steps above will fix them.
