Grand Theft Auto VI
Grand Theft Auto VI is listed for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S by GamesRadar+’s release calendar. That is secondary calendar information, not a current date confirmation from Rockstar. Check Rockstar’s official announcement and the relevant platform or retailer listing for the latest date, platform availability, and edition details before making plans. The available information here does not establish physical-edition availability or preorder inventory.

Fable
Xbox Wire’s January 22, 2026 Developer_Direct recap described Fable as an open-world action RPG and announced an autumn 2026 window. The platforms named were Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Steam, and PlayStation 5, with Game Pass Ultimate also announced. However, the later GamesRadar+ calendar lists “Fable 4” for February 23, 2027 (release calendar). Because those timing reports conflict, do not count on a 2026 launch without a newer official Xbox update.
CINDER CITY
NC described CINDER CITY on August 6, 2026, as an upcoming open-world cinematic third-person shooter in development. The announcement gives no release date, so it is a game to follow rather than a confirmed 2026 release.

Beyond 2026: Guardians of the Wild Sky
Guardians of the Wild Sky is planned for Steam Early Access in 2027, according to Paradox Interactive’s August 18, 2026 announcement. The publisher describes it as an open-world survival-crafting creature collector. It says players can play solo offline or team up in co-op with as many as four other adventurers. Paradox also reported that the game had passed 450,000 wishlists by the announcement date, crediting interest around its February 2026 Steam Next Fest demo; that publisher-reported figure is not a sales forecast.
How to read the 2026 release calendar
- Exact date: Treat a listed day as provisional unless the publisher has recently confirmed it. The GTA VI date cited above comes from a secondary calendar.
- Season or window: A seasonal target, such as Fable’s announced autumn window, is less precise than a day and can be superseded by a later update.
- No announced date: CINDER CITY has an open-world description but no date in the cited announcement; do not infer a 2026 launch from its being in development.
- Check platform and region: Store listings and availability can vary. Confirm the game’s official page or platform store for current platforms, regional availability, and edition information.
Release calendars and storefront lists can help surface candidates, but they change and are not substitutes for publisher confirmation. The dynamic GamesRadar+ calendar and Steam upcoming page are useful discovery tools; verify a game’s current details with its publisher or platform.

Not upcoming as of October 8, 2026
Several prominent open-world releases in the source calendar have dates that have already passed: Forza Horizon 6 was announced for May 19, 2026, by Xbox Wire; RuneScape: Dragonwilds was announced for full launch on September 15 by Jagex; and Dune: Awakening was announced for PS5 on September 22 by the PlayStation Blog. Those dates alone do not establish actual release status, but they are not future dates as of October 8, so these games do not belong in an upcoming list without confirming their current status.
