The next Steam-wide seasonal sale is the Steam Winter Sale, scheduled for December 17, 2026–January 4, 2027. Before it, Steam lists three themed sale events: Cooking Fest, Steam Scream V, and Auto-Battler RPG Fest. Valve’s dates are calendar dates only; its schedule does not specify start times or time zones for these sales.
Upcoming Steam sale dates
Valve distinguishes its Steam-wide seasonal sales from themed sale events, often called Fests. The Autumn Sale is scheduled to end October 8, 2026; the next seasonal sale after it is Winter. The dates below are from Valve’s official Steam event schedule.

What to expect from the themed events before Winter
The first listed event after Autumn is Cooking Fest, running October 12–19. Steam Scream V follows from October 26 to November 2, then Auto-Battler RPG Fest from November 16–23. These are themed events, not the next Steam-wide seasonal sale. Valve says it runs four Steam-wide seasonal sale events a year; its schedule lists the next one as Winter.
Do these dates guarantee a discount on a game?
No. The calendar gives event dates, not a list of participating games or promised discount amounts. Steamworks says a game released at least 30 days before a seasonal sale is welcome to participate with a discount. That is eligibility guidance, not a guarantee that the game or any particular title will be discounted. Check the individual game’s Steam page for its current price and sale status.

Are Steam sale start and end times listed?
Valve’s schedule gives calendar dates for the 2026 Autumn and Winter Sales, but it does not state their start or end times or a time zone. Do not infer Winter’s hours from another sale: Valve’s June 25, 2026 Summer Sale announcement said that sale ran through July 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific, which establishes timing for that Summer Sale only.

Dates are published in Valve’s live Steamworks upcoming-events schedule and may change. Check it again near the event if you are planning a purchase. “Summer” and “Winter” are the names of global Steam sale events, not a description of the weather in every region; Valve’s 2026 Summer Sale announcement, for example, addressed Southern Hemisphere readers who were experiencing winter.
