| Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition | 29.0 GB | October 16, 2026 |
At 29.0 GB, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition is the largest; Resident Evil 3 is the smallest. Adding the three roundup figures gives approximately 55.9 GB, or about 56 GB total. These are listed download figures, not a guarantee of the final space required after updates.
Why does one listing show a different Resident Evil 2 size?
Nintendo’s UK eShop listing gives Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition as 14.1 GB, rather than the 14.0 GB reported in the roundup. The difference is small, but it shows that storefront figures can vary by region or rounding. Treat the sizes as approximate listing values, not fixed universal requirements. Nintendo UK’s Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition listing also notes that additional storage may be required depending on the hardware model and use.

Which games are included in this October release?
Capcom’s Resident Evil Portal lists the Switch 2 release date for the Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes as October 16, 2026. The eShop names are Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. The listed editions do not establish what content is included, so file size alone should not be used to infer their contents.
These three remakes are separate from Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil Requiem, which Capcom announced for Switch 2 in 2025 for a February 27, 2026 release.

What should Switch 2 owners know about storage?
The roughly 56 GB combined figure is a useful planning estimate, but it does not tell you how much free space a particular console has or what the games will occupy after updates. Nintendo’s listing cautions that additional storage may be required depending on hardware model and use. Check your console’s available space before downloading; if you need expansion, verify that any card you consider is compatible with Switch 2 and has enough usable capacity.
