Which Soulslikes and adjacent games are still worth watching in 2026?
These five candidates are not equally certain, and not all are unambiguously Soulslikes. Release information below reflects the cited announcements and reporting available as of October 8, 2026; dates and targets can change.

PlayStation’s June 2, 2026 roundup is the basis for the October PS5 window and its description of Souls-like combat. It also names solo and co-op play, which makes this the clearest fit here for players who want the option to play with others. The roundup’s “100+ hours of content” figure is a publisher-promoted content claim, not an independently measured completion time.
Valor Mortis
The timing is the main reason to watch this one cautiously: the Xbox showcase recap and the later secondary roundup do not agree on a date, while the publisher’s earlier statement gave only a fall target. The publisher describes a supernatural Napoleonic setting and first-person combat built around stamina, skills, parries, and dodges. Do not treat either listed day as settled on the evidence cited here.

The cited date notices do not establish platform availability.
The Duskbloods
Kadokawa’s announcement identifies an online multiplayer action game planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, but provides no day or month in the cited information. Because the format and platform are known while the launch remains broad, it is a watchlist candidate rather than a dated release to plan around.

Ember and Blade
The only cited timing is LINE Games’ earlier 2026 retail target in a search-result excerpt. The company’s primary page could not be opened for verification, so that target should be treated as provisional rather than proof that a 2026 launch remains on track.
Why isn’t this a list of ten confirmed games?
The available announcements do not substantiate ten distinct, unreleased 2026 Soulslikes with reliable dates. Expanding the count would require mixing in games that have already launched, speculative projects, or action games whose developers do not classify them as Soulslikes. This watchlist keeps the broader genre-adjacent picks labeled instead of presenting them as settled genre matches.

One tempting near-term inclusion is Onimusha: Way of the Sword. PlayStation’s June announcement listed September 25, 2026, so as of October 8 it should not be described as upcoming unless a delay has since been confirmed. The announcement highlighted parrying, deflecting, Issen, Oni Armament, and soul absorption; those mechanics make it adjacent in some respects, but do not by themselves establish it as a Soulslike.
