What games are coming to Xbox One?
No title can be responsibly presented here as a confirmed upcoming Xbox One release based on the current official evidence available. The Microsoft Store’s Coming Soon Games on Xbox page has included Xbox One-labeled listings, but the observed page snapshot predates October 8, 2026 by several weeks. A stale listing is not enough to show that a game remains unreleased or that its date is current.

That is different from saying no more Xbox One games will ever be released. It means the official pages reviewed do not substantiate a current release calendar for dates after October 8, 2026.
How to tell whether an announced game works on Xbox One
Verify the platform and release date on the individual product page, rather than inferring compatibility from the word “Xbox” or from a mixed-platform announcement.

- Open the game’s official Microsoft Store or publisher page. Confirm that the platform list explicitly includes Xbox One; Xbox Series X|S support alone is not Xbox One support.
- Check the date or release window. To count as upcoming on October 8, 2026, the stated date must be later than that day. If the page gives only a window, report it as a window rather than supplying an exact day.
- Check the edition. If the page lists separate Xbox One and Series X|S editions, keep their features and availability distinct.
- Recheck close to publication or purchase. Dates can change. Xbox Wire’s August 28, 2026 roundup states, “release dates subject to change.” Xbox Wire’s August 31 to September 4 roundup also explains that its feature covers Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass; that broad scope does not mean every featured game supports every platform.
Why Xbox roundups can be misleading for Xbox One
Xbox Wire’s September 21–25, 2026 roundup demonstrates why each entry needs its own platform check. It labels CONTROL Resonant and Dune: Awakening for Xbox Series X|S, among other platform-specific entries; being included in a roundup that covers Xbox One as well does not establish an Xbox One release. See the September 21–25 roundup and check the title’s own product page before assuming compatibility.
The same caution applies to showcase announcements. The named games in the cited portions of the January 22, 2026 Developer_Direct recap and June 7, 2026 Xbox Games Showcase recap do not establish a general Xbox One release schedule. Announcement on an Xbox channel is not a platform confirmation.

Example: EA SPORTS FC 27 is no longer upcoming
The official EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Edition listing confirms Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S support and gives September 18, 2026 as the release date. Because that date had passed by October 8, 2026, FC 27 should not be listed as upcoming at that point.
The listing also says The Grounds mode, including Clubs, is available only in the Xbox Series X|S version. That feature should not be attributed to the Xbox One edition.
