Vault Oneiron is a level-100 treasure dungeon in Living Memory, added in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Patch 7.3. To open its portal, find and open a treasure coffer from a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map. Inside, the party uses a hypnoslot machine to trigger trials; winning a combat trial creates a chest that only the player who opened the portal can access.
What is Vault Oneiron?
Square Enix describes Vault Oneiron as a special instance similar to Cenote Ja Ja Gural. It occupies a former entertainment district in Living Memory, where an old hypnoslot machine turns each visit into a sequence of unpredictable trials. The dungeon was introduced in Patch 7.3, released August 12, 2025. Square Enix’s Patch 7.3 notes provide the entry rules and core mechanics; the official Patch 7.3 special site describes the district’s history.
How do you get into Vault Oneiron?
You need a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map. Treasure hunts using these maps take place in Living Memory, and a coffer found through the hunt can produce a portal to Vault Oneiron. Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps do not open this dungeon; they can instead lead to Cenote Ja Ja Gural. The two map types may share some coffer rewards, but that does not make them interchangeable for access.
- Obtain a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map.
- Use the map and follow its clues to locate the treasure coffer in Living Memory.
- Open the coffer. If it produces the Vault Oneiron portal, enter to begin the duty.
Square Enix lists the duty for Disciples of War or Magic at level 100, with no item-level requirement, an eight-player party, and a 60-minute time limit. The official entry parameters are listed as eight players; community documentation describes flexible party sizing, but players should not assume every encounter or bonus challenge is practical to complete solo.

What happens when you use the hypnoslot?
At the start of a trial, the party activates the hypnoslot. Three screens cycle through images, and the resulting combination determines what appears. Square Enix confirms that an invocation can summon enemies or eject the party from the dungeon. Defeating summoned enemies yields a treasure chest; only the player who opened the portal can open that chest.
Community-reported outcomes
The Community Wiki lists outcomes including lesser mobs, progressively tougher single-boss encounters, expulsion, and a bonus event called Fever Dream. It also reports late reel ticks and lightning rerolls that can change a combination. These are community-guide details rather than published official odds or a guarantee of what any particular run will contain. No verified probabilities for the hypnoslot outcomes are available.

Fever Dream
According to the Community Wiki’s Vault Oneiron guide, three chest icons can trigger Fever Dream: a 90-second challenge to collect 100 shining sacks while avoiding attacks. The guide says the target does not scale with party size and that the challenge cannot be completed solo. Treat this as secondary-source guidance; the official patch notes do not detail the event.
What rewards can Vault Oneiron give?
A successful combat trial produces a treasure chest, but access to it is restricted to the portal opener. The Community Wiki’s potential-rewards list names items such as Yan Horn, Gimme Kitten, Mini Yan, other minions, and orchestrion rolls. The list is explicitly incomplete, so it should not be read as a complete catalog or as a promise that a particular item will drop. The guide also reports gil and Allagan Tomestones of Mnemonics, with some amounts varying by play number; exact reward amounts and drop rates are not established by the official notes.

Runs can end in expulsion instead of a successful chest reward, and neither a particular boss nor Fever Dream is guaranteed. The official sources do not publish hypnoslot probabilities or a complete rewards table.

Both are Dawntrail treasure dungeons, but the map and location determine which portal you can find. The official Patch 7.3 notes identify Gargantuaskin maps with Living Memory and Vault Oneiron, while the Community Wiki’s Treasure Hunt guide summarizes the map-to-dungeon distinction below.
| Dungeon | Treasure map route | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Vault Oneiron | Gargantuaskin Treasure Map | Living Memory |
| Cenote Ja Ja Gural | Br’aaxskin Treasure Map | Not stated in the cited sources |
This is an access comparison, not a ranking of rewards: the sources do not establish that either dungeon is universally more rewarding.
