For a disc installation:

1. Confirm which edition you own.
2. Download the correct update from CD PROJEKT RED’s official The Witcher 2 support page.
3. Follow the complete manual-update instructions for that edition.
4. Keep all required patch parts in the same folder.
5. Run the supplied Patch.exe as instructed.
6. Restart Windows and launch the game.

CD PROJEKT RED’s launch guidance refers to the legacy Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008, and 2010 packages. On 32-bit Windows, install the x86 packages. On 64-bit Windows, install the x86 packages because this game is 32-bit; installing the x64 packages as well may be appropriate for other software.
