Kuva Zarr
A high-impact choice for players who want explosive area coverage alongside a ranged option. Digital Extremes describes it as an enhanced cannon with stronger explosive barrages and longer-range flak shots (Update 30.0). That range of attack styles is its main strength; its ammunition and reload rhythm are important trade-offs to consider in sustained missions.

A powerful area-damage option that suits players who want to hit groups rather than rely on precise single-target fire. It remains a common top-tier pick in current guides, although a launcher’s ammo economy and firing rhythm can make it less comfortable for some missions than its damage suggests.

The Kuva melee option in this roster, giving it a different role from the guns above. Its value depends heavily on melee preferences and build choices; it ranks last only as a general Kuva Lich weapon priority, not as a claim that melee weapons are inherently weaker.
What Kuva Lich weapons are—and how you get them
Kuva Lich weapons are in-game weapon variants awarded for vanquishing Kuva Liches. Digital Extremes introduced the system in The Old Blood. The reviewed community-maintained Kuva variant index lists these 20 weapons, but it is a secondary reference rather than an official live roster. Check the current Codex or in-game weapon information for the roster available in your version.
How to choose an element and improve a Kuva weapon
Choose the bonus element for your intended build
There is no single bonus element that is best for every Kuva weapon and setup. A recent guide recommends Toxin when the goal is to build toward Viral, but that is guide advice rather than a universal rule (Warframe.today’s Kuva weapon guide). Consider the damage combinations and status effects you intend to use before committing to a bonus.
Use Valence Fusion to combine like weapons
Valence Fusion combines two Kuva weapons of the same type. Digital Extremes’ Update 30.5 notes say players can choose which weapon’s element to retain while the numerical bonus combines according to the existing system. The community index reports a 60% bonus cap, but the cited official patch passage does not establish that figure; check the current in-game information before relying on it.
Which Kuva weapon should you farm first?
- For broad utility: start with the Kuva Nukor.
- For explosive area damage: consider the Kuva Zarr or Bramma.
- For a shotgun-focused build: look at the Hek or Sobek, depending on whether you want concentrated damage or the Sobek’s improved reload, critical, and status traits.
- For a deliberate, specialized playstyle: consider the Chakkhurr, Grattler, Tonkor, or Ayanga when their role fits your loadout better than a higher-ranked generalist.
These priorities are drawn from the roles and trade-offs above; they are not a guarantee that a weapon will outperform every alternative in every mission.
