Warhammer+ is the paid membership; Warhammer TV is the video service and show catalogue included with it. The Warhammer TV app is a way to watch that catalogue, not a replacement for the full Warhammer+ bundle. A membership can also include premium Warhammer app access, Warhammer Vault content and subscriber rewards. The exact price, country availability and current rewards depend on the offer shown for your market.
If you only want to watch official Warhammer programmes, you will still normally access them through a Warhammer+ account. If you are deciding whether the membership is worthwhile, compare the complete bundle rather than treating “Warhammer TV” and “Warhammer+” as two competing subscriptions.

Warhammer TV and Warhammer+ are different things
The simplest way to understand the names is to separate the membership from the content service:
| Term | What it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Warhammer+ | A paid membership from Warhammer/Games Workshop | Bundles video access with premium app features, Warhammer Vault material and subscriber rewards |
| Warhammer TV | The official Warhammer shows and animations service | Provides animations, battle reports, painting instruction and lore programming |
| Warhammer TV app | A viewing application for supported devices | Lets members watch Warhammer TV on compatible phones, tablets, televisions and streaming platforms |
The official Warhammer+ page describes full access to Warhammer TV as one part of the membership. The Apple listing for the Warhammer TV app likewise describes the app as a way to use Warhammer TV with a Warhammer+ subscription. In other words, installing the app does not create a separate, cheaper “TV-only” membership.

Quick comparison: which name matters to you?
| If you are asking about… | The relevant answer |
|---|---|
| Whether you have paid for access | Check your Warhammer+ membership and its renewal status. |
| Where to watch a show | Use WarhammerTV.com or a supported Warhammer TV app. |
| Digital rules, lore or hobby material beyond video | Look at the Warhammer Vault and premium Warhammer apps included with Warhammer+. |
| A miniature or other subscriber benefit | Review the reward attached to your membership year and country. |
| Which price to compare | Use the monthly or annual Warhammer+ offer displayed for your market. |
This is not a comparison of two equivalent streaming plans. The app is a delivery channel inside a broader entitlement. You can install the player without paying, but the catalogue remains locked until the account has the required Warhammer+ access.
What you get with a Warhammer+ membership
Warhammer TV shows and animations
Video is the most visible benefit. The catalogue includes several types of official programming rather than one continuous channel:
- Animations: scripted and animated stories set in Warhammer universes.
- Battle reports: filmed games that show armies, tactics and results.
- Painting instruction: masterclasses and demonstrations for building and painting miniatures.
- Lore programming: explanatory shows focused on factions, settings and Warhammer history.
The current official membership page advertises more than 600 episodes across 20 shows. That is a current Warhammer/Games Workshop catalogue claim, not an independently audited episode count, and the total can change as programmes are added or removed. The page is the appropriate place to check the live catalogue: Warhammer+.

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThe number is best understood as a snapshot of the advertised library, not a promise that every title will remain permanently or that every country will show the same selection. If a particular animation or masterclass is the reason you are considering a subscription, search the current catalogue while signed into your local offer. Do not assume that an older list, launch article or screenshot reflects the present line-up.
Premium access to Warhammer apps
Warhammer+ also advertises premium access to Warhammer apps. These are separate from the TV player: a TV subscription gives you video, while the membership can unlock additional app features or content. The precise app lineup and feature availability may differ by country and can change, so check the benefits shown after selecting your local membership offer.
That distinction matters if you already use a Warhammer digital tool. An app may have a free or limited layer in the store, while Warhammer+ supplies the premium entitlement. Installing such an app and installing Warhammer TV are therefore different actions, even though both may be associated with the same account.
Warhammer Vault material
The bundle includes access to the Warhammer Vault, a library of digital Warhammer material. Vault access is a membership benefit alongside the shows, not a feature that comes automatically with downloading the TV app.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThink of the Vault as the reading and reference side of the membership. If your interest is mainly watching animations, you may place little value on it; if you enjoy background lore or digital hobby material, it can change the calculation when you compare Warhammer+ with a video-only service. The live membership page is the authority on what is currently available and whether any regional limitation applies.
Subscriber rewards and the annual miniature
Subscriber rewards are another part of the bundle. The Warhammer TV App Store description says full Warhammer TV access is included with Warhammer+ “along with a FREE exclusive miniature every year” and unlimited access to the Warhammer apps and Vault. Treat that as a description of the membership offer, not a guarantee that every reward has identical availability in every country or billing period.
The official Warhammer+ information currently says Year 6 rewards are available to claim from January 2027. That timing is an offer detail and may change; confirm the reward, eligibility rules and claim window on the live membership page before subscribing.
A reward should be treated as an additional benefit, not as a reason to assume that an annual plan is automatically cheaper. Check which membership term qualifies, when a claim opens, whether a local fulfilment restriction applies and whether the item is tied to a particular membership year. The page may update those details without changing the basic relationship between Warhammer+ and Warhammer TV.

Warhammer lists several supported routes. The official page names the Warhammer TV apps in the Apple and Google stores, the web service at WarhammerTV.com, Amazon Fire and Roku. Store availability and supported devices can vary by country, so use the local listing rather than assuming that a device sold in one region is supported everywhere.
- Check the local offer. Open the official Warhammer+ page for your country and review the price, billing term, included rewards and any country-specific limitations.
- Create or use your Warhammer account. The membership is tied to an account; installing an app alone does not establish membership access.
- Choose a viewing route. Use the Warhammer TV app from the relevant Apple or Google store, open WarhammerTV.com in a browser, or use a supported Fire or Roku device. The Apple TV listing is available at Warhammer TV on the App Store.
- Sign in with the membership account. Use the same account that holds the active Warhammer+ subscription. If the app shows a locked programme, first verify that you are not signed into a different account.
- Confirm regional support. Not every feature is available in every country immediately. If a store search, show or reward is missing, check the local Warhammer+ page before changing devices or purchasing another subscription.
The practical distinction is important: WarhammerTV.com and the TV apps are playback destinations, while Warhammer+ is the entitlement that authorises access.
Choosing between web, app, Fire and Roku
Use the web player when you want to check the catalogue without installing anything or when your computer is the most convenient screen. Choose an Apple or Google store app when you prefer a native mobile or television interface. Fire and Roku are useful for supported living-room setups. None of these routes changes the membership itself; they simply provide different ways to reach the same entitled video service.
Device support is not a universal guarantee. A listing in one country’s store does not prove that the same app is offered in another, and a device model may have different store rules by region. Confirm the local store listing and the current Warhammer+ help or offer page before buying hardware specifically for this service.

Is there a separate “Warhammer+ app”?
People often use “Warhammer+ app” as a shortcut for the service they use on a phone or television. Official access information, however, specifically identifies the Warhammer TV apps and WarhammerTV.com as viewing routes, while describing Warhammer+ as the wider membership. The App Store listing is titled Warhammer TV, not a separate TV-only subscription.
You may encounter other Warhammer apps included as premium membership benefits. Those apps are not the same thing as the Warhammer TV player, and they do not turn Warhammer TV into a separate membership. When a device store offers an app, read its description and check that it supports your country and device before relying on it.
Search results can add to the confusion because people, stores and articles sometimes shorten the brand name. The reliable test is functional: if an app plays the official shows, it is a Warhammer TV access route; if it advertises rules, reference or other digital tools, it may be one of the premium apps; the subscription that connects those benefits is Warhammer+.
Warhammer+ prices, billing terms and value
There is no single worldwide price that can be copied safely into a comparison. The official page lists monthly and annual prices in regional currencies, and the amount shown depends on the market and the current offer. Check the checkout display for your country on Warhammer+ instead of using an old launch article or a price from another region.
| Billing option | What the official offer says | What to verify before paying |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | A monthly membership price is listed in local currency; the exact amount is market-specific | Current recurring amount, tax treatment, cancellation terms and which rewards apply |
| Annual | The official page promotes 12 months for the price of nine | Current annual total in your currency, renewal terms and reward eligibility for your membership year |
The “12 months for the price of nine” wording describes the advertised annual billing value; it does not establish a universal numerical discount in every currency. Exchange rates, taxes, local pricing and future changes can affect the amount displayed at checkout. The 2021 launch-era overview at Warhammer Community is useful for historical context only and should not be used as a current price list.
How to compare the cost fairly
- Write down the exact monthly amount and multiply it by 12.
- Compare that total with the displayed annual amount, including any taxes shown at checkout.
- Decide whether you will use the Vault, premium apps and video often enough to justify the difference.
- Value a reward only after checking its eligibility and claim timing in your market.
- Record the renewal date and terms shown during checkout so an introductory or annual offer is not mistaken for a permanent price.
This approach avoids a common mistake: comparing an old launch price with a current regional annual offer, or comparing the membership total with a hypothetical “TV-only” tier that the official descriptions do not provide.
How to judge the value
Start with the content you will actually use, then add the non-video benefits:
- If you expect to watch regularly, compare the annual and monthly totals in your market.
- If you mainly want a single show, check the current catalogue before committing to a year.
- If you use Warhammer digital tools, include the value of premium app access.
- If you read digital hobby or lore material, consider whether Vault access matters to you.
- If the miniature and other subscriber rewards are important, verify the reward available for your country and membership year rather than assuming every period offers the same item.
No independent audience, viewing-hours or satisfaction statistic is established by the official material. The episode count describes the size of the advertised catalogue, not its popularity or quality.

What kinds of viewers benefit most?
Choose Warhammer+ when you want the full bundle
Warhammer+ is the appropriate choice when you want official shows plus at least one of the surrounding benefits: premium app access, Vault reading or subscriber rewards. Annual billing may make sense for someone who expects to use the service throughout the year, provided the local annual price and renewal terms are acceptable.
Use Warhammer TV as the viewing route when video is your priority
If your main goal is watching animations, battle reports, painting lessons or lore shows, concentrate on the Warhammer TV catalogue and the devices you already own. You still access that video through the Warhammer+ entitlement; there is not a separate equivalent subscription created by downloading the player.
Wait or check availability when your country is unsupported
The official page cautions that not every feature is available in every country immediately. A missing app, Vault section or reward can therefore be a regional limitation rather than a fault with your account. Verify the local offer before attempting workarounds or buying a second subscription.
Painting content: do you need miniature supplies?
No. Painting tutorials are included as video content, and paint or models are not prerequisites for subscribing, opening the app or watching a masterclass.
If you want to paint along, Warhammer Colour’s What’s Next page covers painting masterclasses and related Warhammer+ context. Its Getting Started guidance explains that paint sets provide a selection of paints and a brush, with matching tutorial videos. That makes a set a convenient starting point, not a condition of membership. Supplies, stock and prices are separate from the Warhammer+ subscription.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Common points of confusion and practical fixes
“I installed Warhammer TV, so why can’t I watch?”
The app is only the playback interface. Confirm that the account signed into the app has an active Warhammer+ membership and that the title is available in your country. If you used a different email or account during checkout, sign out and use the account that owns the membership.
“The app is in the store, but a feature is missing.”
Store availability and membership features can differ by country. Check the local offer and the app’s current store description first. A missing Vault area, reward or premium tool may reflect regional rollout rather than a damaged installation.

“Can I subscribe to Warhammer TV without Warhammer+?”
The official descriptions present full Warhammer TV access as part of Warhammer+, not as a separate TV-only tier. The app can be installed independently, but installation does not provide the catalogue without the required membership entitlement.
“Why does an older article show a different price?”
Prices and benefits are time- and region-sensitive. The 2021 launch coverage records an earlier offer, while the current official page lists local currencies and the present billing options. Use the live page and checkout for the amount that applies to you.
“Is every reward available immediately?”
Reward timing and eligibility can vary. The current page says Year 6 rewards can be claimed from January 2027; that statement does not make every reward available to every member at the same time. Read the claim instructions attached to your membership offer.
“Do I need a Warhammer TV account and a separate Warhammer+ account?”
The important requirement is that the viewing app uses the account holding the active Warhammer+ entitlement. If different sign-in details were used, the app may appear to have no subscription. Use the account associated with checkout rather than creating another account to solve a locked-screen message.
A short decision checklist
- Catalogue: Are the animations, battle reports, painting shows or lore programmes you want currently listed?
- Frequency: Will you watch or use the digital benefits often enough for a monthly or annual plan?
- Devices: Is your preferred Apple, Google, Fire, Roku or browser route supported in your country?
- Extras: Do premium apps, Vault material or the current reward add meaningful value?
- Price: What amount, taxes, renewal terms and billing interval appear at your local checkout?
- Timing: If a reward matters, can you claim it during the stated window?
If the answers are mostly yes, Warhammer+ is the relevant purchase and Warhammer TV is the way you will consume its video. If the answer is no because your preferred device or feature is unavailable, wait for a supported offer rather than paying for a second app or relying on an old regional listing.

The bottom line on Warhammer TV versus Warhammer+
Warhammer+ is the membership; Warhammer TV is the included video service; and the Warhammer TV app is one way to watch it. Compare the complete Warhammer+ bundle—shows, premium apps, Vault access and current rewards—against the local price and the devices you plan to use. Before subscribing, check the live offer for your country because catalogue totals, platform support, prices and reward details can change.
