Eligible players in the United States could use it to buy real-world movie tickets—not tickets for a Roblox cinema or an item bought with Robux. The campaign’s ticket feature was described for U.S. users aged 13 and older; current availability is not established.
What was the Beetlejuice Roblox experience?
Beetlejuice: Escape the Afterlife was a Roblox experience created by Warner Bros. Pictures to promote Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, with Sawhorse credited as its developer. Players explored an Afterlife-themed setting and took part in an escape-style activity. GamesBeat’s August 5, 2024 launch report described an Afterlife lobby, the Waiting Room and a model of Winter River; Roblox’s campaign case study says players teamed up to rescue characters from the Afterlife.
The experience also served as the setting for a ticket-purchase feature: a branded Fandango box office placed inside the Roblox world.
Could players buy Beetlejuice movie tickets on Roblox?
Yes, during the 2024 campaign, eligible players could access a Fandango purchase flow from the virtual box office and buy real-world tickets to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Roblox confirmed that people bought tickets through the feature in its September 2024 RDC announcement.

“Virtual box office” described the storefront’s location and branding, not what the purchase bought. It was not a cinema where users watched the film inside Roblox, and the ticket was not a Robux-only digital item. Roblox’s case study says purchasers also received an exclusive Beetlejuice-themed avatar item with in-game effects.
Who was eligible to use the ticket feature?
Roblox’s case study specifies that the ticket-purchase option was available to users aged 13 and older in the United States. That qualification applies to the documented campaign; it should not be read as an offer for every Roblox user, for younger users, or in other countries.

How did the campaign reach players beyond the main experience?
Warner Bros. extended the promotion into four other Roblox experiences: Escape Running Head, Carry a Friend, The Floor Is LAVA! and Barry’s Prison Run. Roblox says portals in those games led players to the Escape the Afterlife hub, connecting existing game audiences with the film promotion.
What results did Roblox report?
Roblox’s case-study overview says the campaign drove an 11-percentage-point lift in theater visit intent among visitors to Escape the Afterlife. The same page displays zeroes in several metric fields, including the theater-visit-intent field. The 11-point figure is therefore Roblox’s stated case-study result, not an independently verified measurement, and the page’s displayed metrics are inconsistent.

The case study also cites Newzoo’s Global Games Market Report 2024 for the contextual claim that 47% of U.S. Roblox users aged 13 and older are Gen Z. That figure describes the audience context, not a result measured for the Beetlejuice campaign.

The cited campaign coverage documents the promotion around the film’s 2024 release, but does not establish whether Beetlejuice: Escape the Afterlife, its virtual box office or the ticket offer remains available today.
