Hitmarker reported that employees said they had been laid off as of the week before its account, and described roles across narrative, design, and production. Gaming Instincts published a report dated March 16, 2026, identifying developers who had announced departures on LinkedIn. Who was named
Gaming Instincts identified Ceri Young as an associate narrative director on Wonder Woman, Nicolas Pereira-Poisson as an associate producer, and Camille Olivier Paquette as a Gotham Knights level designer. These are examples reported by the outlet, not a complete list of people affected.
Gaming Instincts reproduced a LinkedIn post in which Paquette wrote: “Today was my last day at Warner Brothers Games Montréal and I am now looking for an opportunity to continue my career as Level Designer in the industry.” The post indicates Paquette’s departure and job search; it does not establish the scope or organization of the reported cuts.

Gaming Instincts also quoted Motive Studio experience design director Eric Bellefeuille expressing support for developers affected by changes at WB Games Montréal and Electronic Arts, and offering help with introductions and networking. His remarks reflect colleagues’ response, not a headcount or an official explanation from Warner Bros.
Is there a confirmed headcount or company statement?
No verified March 2026 headcount appears in the cited reports. Hitmarker explicitly described the extent as unknown. Its report and the Gaming Instincts account rely on employee announcements; they do not include an official confirmation from Warner Bros. Games Montréal or Warner Bros. Discovery.

Do not confuse the reported event with a separate late-2024 round. Hitmarker says that earlier round affected almost 100 employees, including QA contractors. That figure belongs to the 2024 reporting and is not a count for March 2026.
What the studio’s history adds
Warner Bros. Discovery’s careers profile says Warner Bros. Games Montréal was established in 2010 and released Gotham Knights in 2022. The studio’s official site identifies it as a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and lists Gotham Knights and Batman: Arkham Origins among its games.

Gaming Instincts attributed broader games-division remarks to Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming and Games chief JB Perrette during an earnings call. Perrette described 2025 as “a year of reset” and said the “real fruits” of the strategy would start coming in 2027–28 as the company returned to some of its biggest franchises. The report does not connect those remarks to the Montréal layoffs.
