In November 2024, Forbes reported that Elon Musk appeared at No. 19 on Helltides’ community leaderboard for timed Diablo 4 Pit 150 runs. That was a position on a third-party list at that time—not an official Blizzard world ranking or a verified current standing.
What did the reported ranking show?
After Musk said on the Joe Rogan podcast that he was among the world’s top 20 Diablo 4 players, Forbes reported on Nov. 6, 2024, that Helltides listed him at No. 19 for timed clears of The Pit at tier 150. Forbes’ account supports the headline claim only in that specific, dated sense: he appeared inside the top 20 on that community leaderboard. Forbes’ Nov. 6 report covered the position, while PC Gamer’s Nov. 5 report described the list’s entries as user-submitted times.

What did the leaderboard measure?
The Pit is a timed Diablo 4 endgame activity. The reported No. 19 position concerned clear times at Pit tier 150 as recorded on Helltides, a community-run list. It therefore says where Musk’s submitted entry sat on that particular list; it does not establish a comprehensive ranking of every Diablo 4 player.
Was it an official Blizzard world ranking?
No. The Helltides placement was on a third-party leaderboard, not an official Blizzard ranking. Blizzard later announced official leaderboards associated with The Tower, a separate activity and leaderboard context. The announcement appears in Blizzard’s overview of the Diablo IV 2.5.0 PTR; it should not be treated as confirmation of the earlier Helltides position.

Is he still ranked No. 19?
That 2024 report does not establish a current position. Forbes reported on Nov. 12, 2024, that Musk’s position on the Helltides list had changed, underscoring that leaderboard placements can move. The available reporting here does not establish his rank now. Forbes’ follow-up documents the later change.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. So, is Musk one of the best Diablo 4 players in the world?
The evidence supports a narrower conclusion: news reports placed him at No. 19 on a user-submitted, third-party Pit 150 leaderboard in November 2024. That is a notable entry on that list, but it does not by itself prove a definitive world ranking across the entire player base or describe his standing today.
