On April 28, 2025, IGN’s Vikki Blake reported that a May PS Plus game had allegedly leaked and appeared to be Until Dawn. The report said the key art seemed to point to Until Dawn Remastered rather than the 2014 original, but it did not establish which edition was supposedly involved. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s April 30 announcement named three May 2025 monthly games: Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Was the rumor tied to the movie?
The movie-promotion explanation came from speculation by PlayStation subreddit users, relayed in IGN’s report. The report does not show that Sony planned a tie-in or confirm why the rumored game might have been offered. Treat the movie connection as a theory, not an official promotion.
