You cannot obtain Wayfarer in Remnant 2 as a standalone trait. Gunfire Games removed it in the April 23, 2024 Forgotten Kingdom update and folded its traversal-speed bonus into Swiftness. If you are looking for the benefit Wayfarer provided, Swiftness is where it now lives.
What Wayfarer did
Wayfarer was a trait that increased your movement speed through the environment. It applied to three kinds of traversal: vaulting, climbing or descending ladders, and wading through water. It did not speed up running or combat movement in general, so its value was limited to those specific situations.

When and how it was removed
Gunfire Games published the patch notes on April 22, 2024 for the Forgotten Kingdom update that went live on April 23, 2024. The notes list Wayfarer under Traits with two entries: “Removed Trait” and “Combined Bonus with Swiftness Trait.” The developer then added that the original Wayfarer values were fully rolled into Swiftness. The official patch notes are the primary source for this change, and the Remnant 2 Wiki’s Wayfarer page agrees with them.
The change was a consolidation rather than a nerf. The trait disappeared from the list, but the traversal bonus it carried was not reduced in the merger, according to the developer’s wording.

The historical values
The Remnant 2 Wiki archives Wayfarer’s former progression. The bonus began at +5% traversal movement speed at level 1 and rose by five percentage points per level, reaching +50% at level 10. The table below shows the endpoints and a midpoint calculated from that stated progression.
| Wayfarer level | Traversal movement speed bonus (historical) |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | +5% |
| Level 5 | +25% (calculated from the stated five-point steps) |
| Level 10 | +50% |
These are values from the removed trait. They describe what Wayfarer once did, not what a current trait entry displays.

Where the benefit lives now
Swiftness is the trait that now carries Wayfarer’s traversal-speed bonus. The Remnant 2 Wiki identifies Swiftness as an Explorer archetype trait, which is the connection to that archetype. If you are building around vaulting, ladders, or wading, check Swiftness on the current trait list rather than searching for Wayfarer.
If an older guide mentions Wayfarer
Guides written before the April 2024 update may name Wayfarer as a trait you can equip or unlock. Read those instructions as describing the pre-update game. Any unlock method from before that date no longer applies to the standalone trait, and the bonus should be attributed to Swiftness in current builds.
