Waylaid Supplies raise your character’s faction reputation: Alliance characters earn Azeroth Commerce Authority (ACA) reputation, while Horde characters earn Durotar Supply and Logistics (DSL) reputation. Loot a crate, provide the goods it requests to turn it into a Supply Shipment, then deliver that shipment to the matching faction’s representative. Level 10 supplies stop granting reputation at Friendly, so you will need higher-level supply tiers to progress further.
Which reputation does your character earn?
The reputation track is determined by your character’s faction. The faction-specific Wowhead guides, updated April 2, 2024 for ACA and April 7, 2024 for DSL, list these turn-in representatives:

Blizzard’s Phase 4 announcement establishes the level-60 phase context, but does not describe Waylaid Supplies mechanics. For exact current crate behavior, check the in-game tooltip and your faction representative; the detailed faction guides cited here were last updated in April 2024.
How to turn in a Waylaid Supplies crate
- Loot a crate. The faction guides describe Waylaid Supplies coming from enemies and chests. The Alliance guide says crates drop from enemies level 6 and above and characterizes chests as a stronger source, but no verified drop percentage or controlled comparison is available.
- Check the requested goods. A crate needs its listed items before it can become a Supply Shipment. You can farm or craft them, or buy them from the in-game Auction House.
- Complete the crate. Use the requested goods from your inventory with the crate to produce a Supply Shipment.
- Deliver the shipment. Take it to any representative for the reputation matching your character’s faction.
- Move to a higher supply tier when needed. Once level 10 supplies stop granting reputation at Friendly, seek higher-level crates for further progress.
The turn-in’s silver payout may be less than the Auction House cost of the requested goods. Buying items can therefore amount to spending silver for reputation rather than making a profit.

How supply tiers affect reputation
The April 2024 Wowhead faction guides list different reputation amounts across supply tiers. These are guide-reported values, not independently verified measurements of the current client.

The listed figures are examples associated with crate tiers, not a promise that every crate in a tier awards the same amount. Verify the specific shipment’s reputation value in game if it affects your decision to buy or gather its goods.

What reputation rewards are worth knowing about?
The faction guides list rewards unlocked at reputation thresholds, with examples including class runes, bags, recipes, and account-bound items. Exact availability and usefulness can vary by character, so confirm a reward with the in-game vendor before planning around it.

Where to look for crates
The guides describe crates dropping from enemies and chests but do not establish a reliable best farm or hourly yield. The Horde guide suggests north of Thunder Bluff for early supplies and Bristleback camps north of Camp Taurajo for the next tier; treat these as guide suggestions, not tested optimal routes. Drop rates, location efficiency, and any later hotfixes are not verified here, so farm where the relevant enemies or chests fit your character’s level and route.
