Strinova is a free-to-play, anime-style, third-person tactical competitive shooter for PC from iDreamSky, listed on Steam with a release date of November 21, 2024. Its defining feature is Stringification: players can switch between three-dimensional and two-dimensional forms, and the Steam store page says each form opens different movement routes and combat strategies.
What Strinova is
Steam classifies Strinova as an anime-style third-person tactical competitive shooter and marks it Free to Play. iDreamSky is listed as both developer and publisher. The store page gives the PC release date as November 21, 2024. The “next-gen” wording in the headline is editorial framing rather than an independently measured claim, so it is better read as the developer’s positioning than as a verified technical standing.
How the 3D and 2D switch works
The Steam store description sums up the premise in one sentence: “Switch freely between three-dimensional and two-dimensional forms in this one-of-a-kind game that offers a unique tactical shooting system for an unparalleled experience.” The feature description adds the practical part: the two dimensions offer different movement routes and combat strategies.
In practical terms, the switch is a decision about how you move and engage, not just a visual effect. A route that is open in one form may not be available in the other, so the same space can be approached in more than one way. The store listing does not spell out which specific obstacles, abilities, or sightlines change between forms. If you need the exact rules, check the in-game tutorial or the official Strinova site, rather than assuming details that the listing does not give.
Recommended Free Tools
#1 Best Overall
Team combat: maps, skills, firearms and devices
According to the Steam listing, Strinova combines several systems in team combat:
- Multilayered maps: the store’s own term. The 3D/2D switch is what gives these layers their routing significance.
- Character skills: described as tactical skill operations.
- Firearms and usable devices: listed as core combat tools.
- Game modes: Demolition and Team Deathmatch are named. The listing presents these as features, not a complete current mode list, so treat the names as examples.
PC requirements
The Steam store page lists the following specifications. The listing’s minimum block also names the operating systems covered, while the recommended block does not repeat them.
Rank #2
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core i3-4170 (64-bit processor/OS) | Intel Core i5-7400 |
| Operating system | Windows 7/8/10/11 64-bit, as listed | Not separately stated (Steam store listing) |
| Memory | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 or AMD R7 240 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon R7 370 |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 11 |
| Internet | Broadband | Broadband |
| Storage | 55 GB | 55 GB |
Two points matter before you rely on this table. First, Windows 7 and 8 are named in the minimum listing, but Steam states that its client supports Windows 10 and later from January 1, 2024. Owners of Windows 7 or 8 machines should treat those entries as legacy wording, not a guarantee that the Steam client will run on those systems. Second, Steam publishes only minimum and recommended hardware. It does not promise a frame rate or resolution at either level, so meeting the recommended specification indicates a stronger baseline, not a specific performance result.
Mobile version and current status
An iDreamSky corporate filing dated April 28, 2026, hosted on HKEX, reports that the mobile game officially launched in October 2025. The sources do not establish which countries’ app stores currently carry the mobile version or which devices it supports, so check the store in your region before assuming access. The official Strinova website’s most recent dated item in these sources is an update announcement dated September 17, 2026. Check the site directly for its contents and for any newer notices.
