The “Verdansk Collection” was first reported as a Call of Duty Shop teaser—not confirmation that Verdansk was returning to Warzone. On March 2, 2025, Insider Gaming reported that a shop pop-up used the tagline “drop back in” and showed a countdown ending March 10. Activision later announced both a Verdansk merchandise collection and the map’s return, but on separate dates: the shop details appeared March 26, and Verdansk was scheduled to return to Warzone on April 3, 2025.
What did the March 10 countdown mean?
Insider Gaming reported on March 2, 2025, that a Call of Duty Shop pop-up advertised a “Verdansk Collection,” used the words “drop back in,” and displayed a countdown to March 10. At the time, the report expected a formal announcement about Verdansk’s return. What was in the Verdansk Collection?
Activision’s March 26, 2025, Call of Duty post said the Call of Duty Shop was offering a physical Verdansk Collection of apparel, accessories, and collectibles. The announcement establishes that these merchandise categories were offered through the official shop at that time. It does not establish current inventory, prices, geographic availability, or whether a particular retailer currently carries official items. Check the specific current listing before treating a Verdansk T-shirt or other item as available or officially connected to the collection.

When did Verdansk return to Warzone?
In the same March 26 post, Call of Duty announced that Verdansk would return to Warzone on April 3, 2025. Black Ops 6 Season 03 content was scheduled to launch on April 2. These are historical dates, not upcoming events.
Call of Duty described the returning map as about 95% a rebuilt version of Verdansk from 2020, with light adjustments and quality-of-life changes to the rest. That percentage is Activision’s characterization, not an independent measurement. Official Season 03 and Verdansk details

Why did Verdansk matter to Warzone?
Verdansk was the setting for Warzone’s original 2020 battle royale experience. Activision announced Warzone’s worldwide launch on March 10, 2020, describing Verdansk as its fictional combat arena and the game as free-to-play; its announcement said Modern Warfare was not required. In that announcement, Byron Beede, then identified as Activision’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Call of Duty, said: “With Warzone we are allowing players across the world to experience the fun of Call of Duty for free.” This was a statement about the 2020 launch, not a description of every current game feature or cost.
