Those rules still apply in Restricted (18+) experiences: the label limits access by age, but it is not permission to publish sexual content.
What adult content Roblox prohibits
Roblox’s Restricted Content Policy bars sexual content and conduct across experiences and user interactions. Its Community Standards likewise say Roblox is not a place to seek romantic relationships or engage in sexually explicit content or behavior.
- Sexual acts and roleplay: Content that depicts, implies, or explicitly describes sexual activity is prohibited.
- Nudity and arousal-focused material: Full or partial nudity and content made for sexual arousal are not allowed.
- Sexually suggestive presentation: This includes suggestive avatars, bodies, clothing, accessories, emotes, assets, and environments.
- Sexual conversation and solicitation: Explicit sexual conversations and requests for sexual material from other users are prohibited.
- Romantic pursuit and flirtation: Seeking online romantic relationships, romantic-context gestures or communication between users, and unwanted flirtation are prohibited.
These rules apply to user behavior as well as experience content, including text and voice chat. The narrow strong-language allowance that may apply in some Restricted experiences does not permit language used sexually, or harassment, discrimination, threats, or intimidation.
Does the Restricted label allow sexual content?
No. Restricted is a maturity and access category, not an exemption from the sexual-content rules. A Restricted experience may have romantic themes and non-sexual expressions of affection, but it still cannot contain sexual acts, nudity, suggestive sexual material, explicit sexual conversation, solicitation, or online romantic pursuit.
#1 Best Overall
Roblox’s Content Maturity Labels page lists descriptors that may appear on Restricted experiences, including romantic themes, alcohol, strong language, social hangouts and private spaces, extended AI interaction, and some violence or fear. A descriptor signals that a category may be present; it does not override the specific restrictions on sexual content.
Can you make a dating game on Roblox?
Not if the experience is designed to help users pursue romantic relationships with one another. Roblox prohibits seeking online romantic relationships, as well as flirtatious communication or gestures between users in a romantic context. A non-sexual romantic theme or fictional affection in a Restricted experience is different from enabling player-to-player dating or romantic pursuit.
What about the game page, thumbnail, and videos?
Public-facing presentation has its own boundary: details pages, thumbnails, and videos for Restricted experiences must remain appropriate for all ages. An 18+ access label does not make sexually suggestive promotional material acceptable.
Who can access Restricted experiences?
Roblox says Restricted experiences are available only to users who are at least 18 and have completed an age check. The listed methods include facial age estimation and ID verification; ID verification is available only to users aged 13 or older. Regional availability and account settings can also affect access. See Roblox’s Age Check guidance for details.

How to report a suspected violation
- Use Roblox’s Report Abuse feature on the content or behavior you believe violates the policy or makes you feel unsafe.
- Give the report enough context for Roblox to identify what happened. Roblox says it uses automated systems and human review to assess concerns.
- Roblox may issue a warning, remove content, or apply account-level restrictions. If you receive a moderation decision, Roblox provides an appeal process.
For reporting instructions, see How to Report Rule Violations. Roblox’s standards can change, and local law or regional/account settings may add requirements or affect access.
