Available sources do not test the game’s cars under a common, documented setup, so no list can honestly put five cars in order of top speed. What players can use is a shortlist of five cars that come up most often in comparisons: the Koenigsegg Regera, Ferrari FXX-K Evo, McLaren F1, Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 ’73, and Ferrari LaFerrari. The sections below explain what each one’s evidence supports and what it does not.
Why “fastest” has no single answer in Heat
Players use “fastest” to mean at least three different things, and the cars that win on each one are not always the same.

- Maximum top speed on a long straight, with the car fully upgraded.
- Acceleration from a standing start or a rolling start.
- Handling and cornering, which decide how much speed a car keeps through turns.
Two further factors change any result: the upgrade state and engine setup of the car being tested, and the race type. A car that tops a straight-line figure may lose a circuit race, and a car that wins a race may never reach the top speed of a heavier, straight-line machine. Any claim that one car is “the fastest” should name which of these it means, and under what build.
The five candidates and what each one’s evidence supports
Each car below appears in player discussion and comparison material. None is placed in an order, because the sources do not give a comparable result for all five.
#1 Best Overall
- PS4 NEED FOR SPEED HEAT (US)
Koenigsegg Regera
Player discussion associates the Regera with high top-speed potential. That is an anecdotal impression, not a standardized measurement. No available source gives a repeatable mph figure for it under a stated upgrade level, so treat it as a strong candidate rather than a confirmed leader.
Ferrari FXX-K Evo
The FXX-K Evo is listed in Heat’s car database, so it is an official in-game vehicle. The sources reviewed do not supply a comparable maximum-upgrade top-speed test for it, so its position against the other four cannot be established.

McLaren F1 ’93
EA announced the 1993 McLaren F1 as a Black Market delivery for Heat, and EA’s official game page lists it as a Black Market Delivery add-on. Players therefore reach it through that delivery rather than through standard progression, which matters if you are describing how to unlock it. A community max-PR comparison table includes the F1, but the table does not turn its figures into a verified top speed in miles per hour.
Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 ’73
The Need for Speed Wiki (Fandom) database entry lists a stock top speed of 174 mph for this car. That is a stock value, not a result for a fully upgraded car, so it cannot be used to say the RSR is the fastest car in the game. Community discussion often describes the RSR as exceptionally strong overall, particularly in racing, which is a different measure from straight-line speed.

Rank #3
- A dream garage: you can ride the world's 8 most powerful European and Japanese motorcycle providing a highly accurate and realistic riding experience
- Optimize your motorbike: with a mechanics management system never before seen in a motorbike simulation, you can dismantle all your motorbike's parts to maintain them after each race or upgrade them and boost your performance
- Analyze your performance: just like for a real rider, your motorbike's configuration can be adapted to your riding style and how you race will affect the gradual wear of each component and the effects on performance that follows
- Accurate and realistic physics: the level of accuracy and details provided by the mechanics management is matched by realistic motorbike physics that will thrill the most demanding of track racers
- Manage your career and team: build your rider by managing their race calendar, choose which R&D areas to invest in and upgrade the team's skills, taking advantage of other manufacturers and partnership opportunities that become available as you progress
Ferrari LaFerrari
The LaFerrari comes up in community discussion as a possible fast option. No comparable test in the available sources establishes its rank.

| Car | Heat status in available sources | Top-speed evidence | Other strengths cited |
|---|---|---|---|
| Koenigsegg Regera | Not stated | Anecdotal player claims of high top speed; no standardized test | Not stated |
| Ferrari FXX-K Evo | Listed in the Heat car database | No comparable maximum-upgrade test found | Not stated |
| McLaren F1 ’93 | Announced by EA as a Black Market delivery | Appears in a community max-PR table; no verified mph result | Not stated |
| Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 ’73 | Listed in the Heat car database | 174 mph stock top speed (Need for Speed Wiki, Fandom) | Strong racing reputation in community discussion |
| Ferrari LaFerrari | Not stated | Mentioned in community discussion; no comparable test | Not stated |
Reading the numbers you will find
- The 174 mph figure for the RSR 2.8 ’73 is the stock value from a fan-run database. It does not state a test method, so treat it as a database entry rather than a measured run.
- The EA Forums comparison table includes a “Speed” column for cars at different PR levels, including the McLaren F1 and Ferrari 812 Superfast. The column is not described as a standardized speed measurement, so it should not be converted into a definitive mph ranking.
- Player discussion does not agree on the answer. One commenter’s Regera top-speed claim and another’s point about the RSR’s racing performance both count as opinions about different measures.
Where to check next
EA’s official Need for Speed Heat page presents the game as a purchasable title and lists the McLaren F1 Black Market Delivery add-on. Platform availability and pricing vary by region and can change, so confirm the current listing for your platform before buying. The cars themselves are in-game vehicles, not products sold outside the game.
If a reliable test appears that states the build, upgrades, track conditions and how speed was measured, the shortlist above can be ordered on it. Until then, the honest answer to “what is the fastest car in Heat” is that the game’s sources do not settle it.
