The answer depends on which platform, region, and Gold Edition listing you’re buying. Ubisoft’s current US store listing names The Division 2 base game, the Warlords of New York expansion, and Battle for Brooklyn DLC. The US PlayStation Store listing also names Year 1 Pass content and a New York DLC Bundle. Check the exact product listing before checkout; “Gold Edition” has not meant the same bundle in every release or storefront.

These are statements from specific US storefronts, not a guarantee that every platform, region, or SKU has identical entitlements. The Ubisoft and PlayStation descriptions differ in detail, so use the listing for the exact version you intend to buy rather than assuming the same Gold package applies everywhere.
What Year 1 Pass content means
Ubisoft’s February 27, 2019 explanation said, “You can get the Year 1 Pass with the Gold or Ultimate Editions.” The pass included seven-day early access to each Year 1 episode’s narrative content; instant unlocks for three Year 1 specializations; access to eight Classified Assignments; an extra weekly bounty and daily Challenging mission project during the stated benefit period; and the Agent Ward outfit and Scout emote. Why older descriptions of Gold Edition differ
Ubisoft’s August 21, 2018 launch-era announcement described the original Gold Edition as the game, the Year 1 Pass, and three days of early access. That was a different bundle description from current listings, which refer to expansions released later. Ubisoft’s 2018 edition announcement

Ubisoft later distinguished the 2020 Warlords of New York Edition—base game plus expansion—from the then-current Ultimate Edition, which included the base game, expansion, and Year 1 Pass content. That historical distinction helps explain why old edition comparisons may not match the wording on a current Gold listing; it is not a definitive comparison of every current platform SKU. What to check before you buy
- Store and region: Confirm you are viewing the relevant storefront for your country and platform.
- Edition and listing date: Do not use a 2018 launch description as a checklist for a current product listing.
- Named expansions: Check whether the listing explicitly includes Warlords of New York and Battle for Brooklyn.
- Year 1 Pass details: Look for the pass or its content to be named rather than assuming it comes with every Gold SKU.
- Online requirements on PlayStation: The US PlayStation listing says online features require an internet connection, a Ubisoft Account, a PlayStation Network account, and a separately sold PlayStation Plus subscription.
