Does Pokémon remain legally banned there?
The cited reporting does not establish the present legal force of the 2001 ruling or a current blanket nationwide prohibition on possessing, importing, or selling every Pokémon product. “Banned” can describe different things—religious guidance, government enforcement, a product being withdrawn from shops, or a game not receiving an official launch—and those claims are not interchangeable. A definitive current legal answer would require up-to-date Saudi government or regulator sources.
