In Murder Mystery 2 (MM2), the colors shown with weapon names are community-used labels for rarity or value tiers—not necessarily the weapon’s appearance. The mapping is orange for Unique, purple for Ancient, pink for Godly, red for Legendary, green for Rare, blue for Uncommon, gray for Common, and yellow for Vintage.
MM2 color meanings at a glance
| Color | Tier | What it indicates |
|---|---|---|
| Orange | Unique | The highest scarcity category in the listed tier table. Many Unique items are event leaderboard rewards and cannot be traded, though there are exceptions. |
| Purple | Ancient | A scarce tier associated largely with event acquisition. |
| Pink | Godly | A recognized high tier that includes Chroma variants. |
| Red | Legendary | A tier below Godly in the listed hierarchy. |
| Green | Rare | Above Uncommon and Common in the standard rarity grouping. |
| Blue | Uncommon | More uncommon than Common. |
| Gray | Common | The common baseline tier. |
| Yellow | Vintage | A category for weapons that originated in the original Murder Mystery (MM1). |
This mapping comes from the community-maintained Murder Mystery 2 Wiki’s Value page, which was marked updated September 27, 2026. It is not a Roblox-published rules document. The page says, “The value of a weapon is sometimes referred to by the color label of its value”; read that as a tier shorthand, not a statement that every item in a tier has the same trade price.
What the colors do—and do not—tell you
They identify a tier, not the weapon’s appearance
A pink Godly label does not mean the weapon is pink, for example. The label refers to its category in the community tier system.
Chroma is within Godly, not a ninth color tier
The Value page places Chroma variants within Godly. “Chroma” describes a weapon that changes color; it does not add another tier to the eight-color mapping.

Vintage describes origin
Vintage is a provenance category: the community reference describes these weapons as originating in the original Murder Mystery (MM1), rather than simply as items that look old or have a particular color.
Why a color tier cannot settle a trade
Rarity is about how hard a weapon is to obtain, but rarity alone does not establish an exact trade value. The community Weapons guide notes that some very rare items below Godly can outvalue some Godlies. An item’s individual demand, history, and whether it can be traded can matter as well.

MM2 weapons include knives and guns, and the guide describes several ways to obtain them, including unboxing, crafting, event rewards, and trading. Unique items include event leaderboard trophies, and some are untradeable. For an actual trade, compare the specific items and consult a current community value reference rather than treating their color labels as prices. Roblox’s Murder Mystery 2 listing by Nikilis confirms the game’s collecting and trading context, but does not define these colors.
