In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the first Blood Moon cutscene opens with Zelda saying, “Witness the Blood Moon’s rise.” Later Blood Moon cutscenes open with a shorter line, “When the glow of the blood-stained moon…”. The first Tears of the Kingdom Blood Moon scene
The first time the Blood Moon rises in Tears of the Kingdom, the cutscene opens with “Witness the Blood Moon’s rise.” The Zelda Dungeon Wiki transcript gives the same words, and it describes the scene as explaining that slain monsters return and that the world is threatened again. That is the line to quote if a reader asks what Zelda says at the first Blood Moon.
The speaker needs one qualification. The Zelda Dungeon Wiki attributes the voice to Zelda but notes that the figure speaking is Phantom Ganon disguised as Zelda. The words are therefore Zelda’s on screen, while the character behind them is Ganon’s agent. Readers who only want the wording can ignore this detail.
The repeat cutscene line
Later Blood Moon events use a shorter opening: “When the glow of the blood-stained moon…”. Nintendo Life identifies this line as the opening of every subsequent cutscene after the first. Because the first scene and the repeats use different wording, a reader who remembers only the repeat line may mistakenly think it is the first one.

When the narration stops
The Zelda Dungeon Wiki reports that the Blood Moon cutscene is no longer narrated once the player completes the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest. This is a community reference’s description of the game’s behavior, not a statement from Nintendo, so players who see a different sequence should treat the timing as the source’s claim rather than an official rule.
The Breath of the Wild warning
If the question refers to Breath of the Wild, the recurring warning is “The blood moon rises once again. Please be careful, Link…” This wording is recorded in the same community reference. It is a reminder rather than a first-time introduction, and it is not the line spoken in Tears of the Kingdom.

- Nintendo Life published a Tears of the Kingdom quiz on July 7, 2023 that identifies the first-scene opening and the repeat-scene opening. It is the clearest source for the distinction between the two.
