The slate ranged from a school-set mystery to a farming sim with a supernatural killer, with each game developed by a different studio. Blumhouse’s current lineup has since changed: its official page now marks three of the announced games “Available Now” and lists Grave Seasons for Fall 2026.
What games did Blumhouse announce at Summer Game Fest?
The June 7, 2024 reveal introduced six projects, not six entries in an existing franchise. Their settings and approaches to horror varied widely, from first-person survival to investigation and simulation.
| Game | Developer | Premise and gameplay |
|---|---|---|
| Fear the Spotlight | Cozy Game Pals | School-set horror adventure about Vivian and Amy, a séance gone wrong, tactile puzzles, and a decades-old school tragedy. |
| SLEEP AWAKE | EYES OUT | First-person psychedelic horror set in the far future, where people vanish in their sleep and survivors fight to stay awake. |
| Crisol: Theater of Idols | Vermila | First-person horror adventure in a nightmare version of Spain, featuring living saint statues and blood used as ammunition. |
| The Simulation | Playmestudio | A crime-scene investigation draws a retired game designer into a hidden mode and a chain of horror games that blur game and reality. |
| Grave Seasons | Perfect Garbage | Pixel-art farming and town simulation in which the player must identify which resident is a supernatural serial killer. |
| Project C (codename) | Half Mermaid Productions | A project revealed under a codename and announced as a collaboration associated with Sam Barlow and Brandon Cronenberg. Blumhouse did not present “Project C” as a final title. |
How the six games differ
The lineup was unified by horror, but not by a single formula. Fear the Spotlight turns a school mystery and its history into an adventure, while Grave Seasons places a murder mystery inside the rhythms of a farming and town sim. SLEEP AWAKE and Crisol use first-person perspectives for very different threats: a sleep-related disappearance crisis in one, and hostile religious statuary in the other.
The Simulation makes the act of playing horror games part of its premise, shifting from crime-scene investigation into a game-within-a-game mystery. Project C was the least defined publicly at the reveal: its codename and collaborators were announced, but the slate description did not establish a final title or detailed gameplay premise.

Why Blumhouse was publishing games
Blumhouse presented the label as a home for independent creators and distinctive interactive horror, rather than as an extension of its film franchises. In a June 17, 2024 Guardian interview, the initial projects were described as original games not then tied to Blumhouse film properties. Creative lead Louise Blain said the team sought “an innovative approach to horror, something we haven’t seen before.”
President Zach Wood described a strategy that did not require every release to become a blockbuster: “We don’t need everything to be a hit. Everybody can make money at a moderate success level, and that’s really important for us, especially given market conditions.” The emphasis was on a portfolio of distinct projects and creators, rather than one shared game universe.

Which Blumhouse Games are available now?
The announcement slate and the current lineup are different snapshots. Blumhouse’s official games page, checked for this article, labels Fear the Spotlight, Crisol: Theater of Idols, and SLEEP AWAKE “Available Now,” and lists Grave Seasons as “Launching Fall 2026.” That page does not establish the present status of The Simulation or Project C; their absence there should not be read as a cancellation or a definitive account of their future.
For release information beyond those listed titles, check the official game page: availability and release schedules can change after an event announcement.
