The available pre-release coverage does not identify the specific “important detail” behind the headline, so the leak’s exact claim cannot be verified here. HoYoverse later confirmed the clearest detail about Varesa: she is a five-star Electro Catalyst whose combat centers on Plunging Attacks and a state called Fiery Passion.
What detail did the Varesa leak reveal?
The specific leak and the detail it allegedly revealed remain unidentified in the available evidence. A February 12, 2025, Teyvat Tribune video is framed as leaked information about Varesa and Iansan’s kits and designs, but its available description does not isolate the claim meant by this headline. It shows that leak coverage circulated before Varesa’s official reveal; it does not establish that this was the headline’s source or confirm a particular leaked detail. What did HoYoverse officially confirm about Varesa?
In its Version 5.5 announcement on March 14, 2025, HoYoverse identified Varesa as a five-star Electro Catalyst. Her combat style focuses on Plunging Attacks: these trigger Fiery Passion, a state in which she deals more Electro damage and can use a special Elemental Burst at a reduced Energy cost. HoYoWiki’s official character listing also identifies her as a Natlan five-star Electro Catalyst released in Version 5.5. HoYoWiki’s Varesa listing

Who is Varesa outside combat?
HoYoverse’s character showcase describes Varesa as “Strength in Serenity” and a “Stalwart Warrior and Orchard Owner from the Collective of Plenty.” It lists her Vision as Electro and her constellation as Mascara Luctatori. Official Varesa character showcase on HoYoLAB
The showcase also includes Iansan’s description of her unusual pupil: Varesa is laid-back, loves local delicacies, and is quick to find a cozy place to camp and sleep. Iansan contrasts that easygoing side with Varesa’s aggressive rush tactics when she faces the Abyss’s monsters wearing her mask. This is a character-to-character description, not an independent assessment of her gameplay.
