If a Roblox item disappears from your account or inventory, the outcome depends on who removed it. Roblox moderation and a creator’s decision to take an item off sale or revoke access are handled differently, and neither automatically returns your Robux. Roblox states that purchases generally cannot be refunded, and most moderated content cannot typically be restored. If Roblox moderated content you own, an appeal may be possible, but it is not guaranteed to succeed.
Step one: work out why the item disappeared
Before deciding what to do, establish whether the removal came from Roblox or from the creator. The two situations look similar on screen but lead to different routes.
Roblox moderated the item
Roblox’s Terms of Use give it the right to remove content from its services or from an account. The relevant language allows Roblox, in its sole discretion, to suspend or remove any content, including Experiences, Virtual Content, UGC Subscriptions, and UGC, without advance notice. Moderation can therefore happen without warning, which is why the notice in your Roblox Inbox is the most important document to check. It normally states the reason and any available appeal route.
The creator removed access
A creator can also make an item unavailable to you, for example by taking it off sale, withdrawing it, or removing your access to it. This is not a Roblox moderation decision, so there is typically no moderation notice to appeal. Check the item’s page and your purchase history to confirm the item’s name and status, and note its link if it is still visible.

Refunds and Robux: what to expect
Do not assume a refund is available. Roblox’s support guidance on whether you can get Robux back says that, at this time, there is not a way to get Robux back once you have made a purchase. That statement covers items you no longer like or no longer use, not only removals.
Items moderated by Roblox or removed from access by a creator may also be ineligible for a refund. The Terms of Use say Roblox generally is not required to refund spending on removed or suspended content, except where the law in your region requires it. Regional rights can differ, so the local terms and consumer law where you live matter.

One related case is worth watching for. If a purchase was refunded through a payment process and Robux were taken back as a result, Roblox says it will send an Inbox message explaining the removal. If that message does not match what you expected, contact Roblox Customer Support with questions about it.
Can a deleted item be restored?
Usually not. Roblox’s moderation guidance says most content cannot typically be restored once it has been moderated. A successful outcome is the exception, not the rule, and it depends on the case. If you appeal, the appeals team reviews the case and may adjust the moderation status, but Roblox’s own appeal guidance is blunt: “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.” Do not treat an appeal as a restoration that is already underway.

How to appeal a moderated item
Use the route shown in the moderation notice. Some actions can be appealed in Violations & Appeals; other cases are handled through the Roblox Support Form. Follow these steps:
- Open the moderation notice in your Roblox Inbox and note the reason, the date, and any deadline.
- Confirm which appeal route the notice gives you. If Violations & Appeals is listed, use it. If not, use the Roblox Support Form.
- For a content appeal, include your username, a short explanation of why you believe the decision should change, the asset ID of the item, and a link to the content.
- Keep the explanation factual and limited to the item. Do not state or imply that the appeal will restore the item, since it may not.
- Record the date you submitted the appeal and keep a copy of what you sent.
Deadlines matter. The general period stated on Roblox’s appeal page is 30 days from the moderation action. Users in the EU have six months to appeal an initial action, and Roblox’s page describes additional rights that apply in that case. If the notice gives a shorter window, act within that window.

Contacting Roblox Support about a purchased item
If the issue concerns a purchase rather than moderation, Roblox’s support guidance asks you to provide your username, the item name, the item link, and a detailed explanation of what happened. Include the date of purchase if you have it. Support may explain the options available, but the refund policy described above still applies, so do not expect a refund simply because the item is gone.
