What is Project Century?

What is STRANGER THAN HEAVEN about?
The story follows protagonist Makoto Daito across five eras and five cities in Japan, spanning 1915 to 1965. Xbox Wire describes it as a fifty-year saga. The disclosed years are:

Xbox Wire characterizes STRANGER THAN HEAVEN as an action-adventure. Disclosed combat details include weapons such as knives, hammers, mallets, and katanas, as well as upgrades, special attacks, passive abilities, and context-sensitive moves.
