| Rance 01: Quest for Hikari | Rance travels to the Kingdom of Leazas to investigate the disappearance of Hikari, a noble family’s daughter. | Adventure choices and card-represented dungeon areas; combat uses weapon, shield, and item chips that players select and combine. |
| Rance 02: The Rebellious Maidens | A threat to the town of Custom involves four witches. | Town exploration and preparation lead into puzzles, traps, monsters, and a multilayered grid dungeon that becomes more winding at depth. |
How is Rance 01 different from the original?
Rance 01 remakes Rance: Quest for Hikari, originally released in 1989. MangaGamer says the remake updated the story and script, graphics, sound, and battle system. Its product listing and 2020 announcement describe those changes and the game’s card-based exploration and chip combat.
Is Rance 01 + 02 an adult game?
Yes. Kagura Games marks the digital edition 18+ and warns that it contains mature themes and graphic images. Its listing says purchasers must be at least 18. Check the storefront’s content notice before buying if you need more detail about the material.

What platforms and languages does it support?
Kagura Games lists its digital edition as DRM-free Windows software that does not require an internet connection to play. Steam’s language table lists English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese interface and subtitle support; it indicates no full audio support. Steam also shows the title as “Coming soon” and says it is not yet available there. That is the page’s current status, not a confirmed release date.
MangaGamer’s separate limited hardcopy listing names Windows 7, 8, and 10. This is the compatibility information for that physical-edition listing; it should not be read as a complete or current system-requirements statement for every edition.
