No single menu can be crowned the best across platforms, editions and game builds, and the answer changes completely for GTA Online: Rockstar Games warns that modding online games can lead to account sanctions, so no free mod menu should be installed for online play.
Choose the answer by mode first
The right recommendation depends on which GTA V mode you play. The table below separates the situations the available sources actually address.

What Menyoo is and what it requires
Menyoo presents itself as a free, open-source GTA 5 mod menu and trainer for Story Mode. That is the publisher’s own description. It has not been independently benchmarked or compared against other menus in any source reviewed here.
Supporting software
Menyoo depends on other software. The publisher’s page names Script Hook V and a matching ASI loader as requirements. Install both before Menyoo, and use the loader version that matches the Script Hook V release you install.

Edition and build differences
The publisher notes that requirements differ by GTA V edition. Before you install anything, check the Menyoo site for the note that matches your copy of the game, and confirm your current game build. GTA V updates can change which dependency versions work, so instructions written for an older build may no longer apply.
Pre-install checklist
- Note your GTA V edition and current game build.
- Read the edition-specific notes on the Menyoo site.
- Download Script Hook V and the matching ASI loader from the sources the publisher names, not from unrelated download sites.
- Run Story Mode only. Do not connect to GTA Online while mod files are installed.
Why GTA Online is off the table
Rockstar’s support page lists “modding in online games” among violations that can lead to account suspension, along with conduct that interferes with other players’ gameplay. Its Newswire is more direct:

Nothing in the sources supports the idea that a mod menu can run quietly or protect an account. Do not treat any menu as “undetected” or as a way to avoid a ban. Rockstar’s Modding Guidelines cover what it permits and prohibits in more detail, and its suspension and ban policy sets out the consequences.
What the sources do not establish
- No universal ranking. The sources do not show Menyoo beating other menus on features, reliability or performance, and no head-to-head comparison was available.
- No current version matrix. Exact current release numbers for Script Hook V and the ASI loader, and a complete list of supported game builds, were not established. Check these yourself before installing.
- No file-safety audit. Download integrity and source code were not independently verified. Use only the download source the publisher names and scan files before running them.
How to judge any free menu for Story Mode
If you compare Menyoo with another option, check these points against the publisher’s own pages and current build information:

- Its feature set relative to what you actually want to do
- How transparent the source is, and whether the project has a visible update history
- Whether installation asks you to disable game safeguards or enter online mode. Avoid any menu that does, and avoid any menu that is designed to affect other players.
Used this way, Menyoo is a sensible starting point for a single-player PC setup, not a guaranteed best choice.
