EA’s progression guide, updated for Season 2 on April 14, 2026, does not state a fixed cap for Career Rank: functional Career Rank unlocks end at Rank 50, cosmetic rewards continue through Rank 100, and ranks carry on into the thousands beyond that. Weapons and vehicles, and the seasonal Battle Pass, have separate progression tracks.
What happens at Career Rank 50?
Career Rank is your account-wide progression. EA says a new functional hardware item or loadout slot unlocks at each rank from 2 through 50. Some ranks also award customization items or assignments. To check a locked item’s requirement, inspect it in the loadout menu; it may require a Career Rank or a challenge.
Rank 50 is therefore the key milestone if by “max level” you mean Career Rank gear and loadout unlocks. It is not the end of Career Rank itself.
What do you unlock after Rank 50?
From Rank 52 through Rank 100, EA’s guide lists one cosmetic item every two ranks. Rewards include weapon charms and stickers, vehicle decals, player-card titles, backgrounds and icons, and some melee weapon skins. These advanced ranks are presented as pride and status progression, rather than a route to more functional Career Rank hardware unlocks.

Rank 100 is not the stated maximum. EA says Career Ranks continue into the thousands, but its guide does not name a final cap.
How Career Rank, hardware ranks, and the Battle Pass differ
| Track | What it advances | Examples of rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Career XP | Your account-wide Career Rank | Functional hardware and loadout unlocks through Rank 50; cosmetic advanced-rank rewards through Rank 100; further rank progression beyond that |
| Hardware XP | A specific weapon or vehicle’s Hardware Rank | Weapon attachments, packages and camos; vehicle equipment, skins and camos |
| Battle Pass XP | The current season’s Battle Pass | Battle Pass points and seasonal content; EA describes the pass as having over 100 tiers, with some tiers free |
These are distinct tracks, not competing routes to one shared level cap. Career and hardware ranks are separate from the current season’s Battle Pass progression.

How do you earn progression XP?
EA lists Multiplayer, REDSEC Battle Royale, Gauntlet and Verified Portal Community Experiences as places to earn XP. The activity and track determine where XP goes:
- Kills and assists grant Career and Battle Pass XP, plus Hardware XP for the weapon or vehicle used.
- Revives, squad spawns, spotting enemies, class actions and objectives grant Career and Battle Pass XP.
- Completing a match awards a bonus that varies with time in the match and the result.
- Using a weapon or vehicle also earns passive Hardware XP, though EA says this is less than XP from actions performed with that hardware.
- Challenges can award Battle Pass points directly. EA says Battle Pass XP is earned alongside Career XP at a 1:1 ratio.
What changed in the March 2026 progression update?
EA’s Game Update 1.2.2.0 notes, published March 13, 2026, say the XP curve was reduced: early ranks became about twice as fast and total progression 15% faster. EA also reported an average 60% reduction in sidearm-rank XP requirements and moved camouflage unlocks from mastery ranks 20, 30 and 40 to ranks 5, 15 and 30.
