A 2025 creator listing gives it for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.8 and places the stronghold at X 625, Y -23, Z 1365. Treat that as a creator’s claim, not an official Mojang record. The listing itself warns that Bedrock may share the same terrain while placing structures elsewhere, so the coordinates should not be assumed to work in Bedrock. Because world generation can change between versions, confirm the portal in your own game before relying on it for a run or recording.
Loading the seed in Java Edition 1.21.8
The seed is version-specific, so start by making sure you are launching the right release. Use these steps in the Java Edition launcher:

- In the Minecraft Launcher, choose the Java Edition profile set to version 1.21.8 and launch it.
- On the title screen, select Singleplayer, then Create New World.
- Select More World Options…, then enter 2598577000427963780 in the Seed field. Use the numeric seed exactly as written.
- In the same menu, set Allow Commands to Yes if you want to teleport to the listed coordinates. Commands are otherwise disabled in new worlds.
- Create the world. Press F3 to check the version shown in the debug screen before you go further.
- Open chat with T and run
/tp @s 625 -23 1365. The coordinates are underground, so you may land inside stone. If that happens, run/gamemode spectator, fly to the open stronghold corridors, and switch back with/gamemode survival.
These steps describe how to load and reach the reported location. The sources available for this article do not record an in-game test of this seed, so the portal’s state must be confirmed by you on arrival.
What a 12-eye End Portal means
An End Portal is framed by 12 End Portal frames. Each frame can hold one Eye of Ender, and the portal only activates when all 12 frames are filled and every frame faces inward. A portal that generates fully filled and correctly oriented is already active when you find it. Normally, a player places Eyes of Ender into any empty frames to activate a portal.

How rare a 12-eye portal is
The Minecraft Wiki gives each portal frame a 10% chance of generating with an eye. The reference page does not state a year. If each frame is treated as an independent 10% event, the chance that all 12 are filled is 0.112, or 10-12. That is one in a trillion per portal.
That figure means all 12 eyes are present. It does not mean at least one eye is present, which is far more common. Community discussion on the same wiki topic includes a much higher figure produced by an incorrect calculation. The product of the 12 per-frame probabilities is the correct method.

Seed hunters have also searched for portals. Couriway’s 100K Stronghold Summary reports roughly 8.7 million seeds in a search limited to portals in the first stronghold ring. That is the search tool’s own result for that scope. It is not a total count of seeds, of all strongholds, or of any edition or version.
Bedrock and other versions
- Java 1.21.8 is the only version the creator names. Java players on a different release should not assume the same layout.
- Bedrock may share terrain with Java, but the creator warns that structures can be placed in different locations. The listed coordinates are not confirmed for Bedrock.
- Later Java releases can change generation. Check the portal’s position and frame state after loading.

The creator’s video description is the most direct source for the seed, edition and coordinates. It is not an official Mojang or Microsoft record. The Minecraft Wiki supports the activation mechanics and frame probability, and the community discussion helps only to identify the probability error described above.

In short, the seed and coordinates are a reported answer for Java 1.21.8. They are useful for a starting point, but the portal’s current state needs to be confirmed in the world.
