How does the gameplay work?
Explore each realm and look for ways forward
The store description frames the adventure around exploring seven realms on the way toward Uptown. Progress involves moving through storybook-like environments, finding paths through them, and solving puzzles woven into the surroundings. The environments are not described as interchangeable stages: each is presented as having its own visual mood, story, secrets, enemies, and puzzle ideas.
Flyway Games and KRAFTON Japan give several examples of the variety players can expect: a chaotic restaurant, a castle built around light and shadow, and a desert likened to an endless sea. Those examples suggest markedly different settings, but official descriptions do not specify the exact order of the worlds or how long each one takes to complete.
Use Waltz’s toys to interact with the world
Waltz collects or finds toys scattered through the worlds. According to the Steam description, these toys can activate contraptions, reveal hidden paths, and send enemies flying. They therefore serve more than a single stated purpose: the advertised uses span environmental interaction, exploration, and combat.

The publisher says players combine toys with the environment and Jam’s forms to find openings during boss battles. That makes experimenting with available tools part of the stated combat approach, rather than relying only on attacks. The official descriptions do not list every toy, explain how players select or switch between them, or say whether every toy works in every situation.
Transform Jam to solve movement and puzzle challenges
Jam can transform into different forms, including a water ball and a trampoline. The Steam listing presents these transformations as ways to move through the worlds and solve puzzles. KRAFTON Japan adds that Jam can help Waltz reach high places and transform into a water gun; it also says new abilities unlock as the story advances.
These examples point to a companion who is also a practical set of gameplay abilities. A transformation may change how Waltz crosses an obstacle or interacts with a puzzle, while a newly unlocked ability can expand the options available later in the story. The publisher has not published a full ability list or a detailed progression system, so the named forms are examples, not a confirmed exhaustive roster.

Fight enemies and learn boss patterns
Combat is part of the adventure alongside exploration and puzzles. The publisher describes a boss waiting at the end of each of the seven worlds. For those encounters, players are expected to read attack patterns and combine toys, Jam’s transformations, and features of the environment to find openings.
That description indicates pattern-reading and tool use are central to boss fights. It does not establish specific difficulty settings, combat controls, or whether bosses have multiple phases. Those details should not be assumed from the general description alone.
What are the worlds and story setting?
The seven realms reinterpret the Seven Deadly Sins within an afterlife setting. Each is described as a storybook world with its own mood and narrative, as well as different secrets, enemies, and puzzles. This gives the journey a repeated broad structure—explore a realm, overcome its challenges, and face its boss—while the publisher’s examples imply that the surroundings and problem-solving opportunities change from world to world.

The restaurant, light-and-shadow castle, and seemingly endless desert are official examples, not a complete list of the seven realms. The available descriptions do not name all seven sins as individual stages, explain how each realm maps to a particular sin, or disclose the full story connecting Waltz, Jam, and Uptown. The announced premise supports describing the worlds as inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins, but not inventing further plot details.
Is Waltz and Jam multiplayer, and what does “play mode” mean?
KRAFTON Japan announced the game as a one-player experience. Nintendo Canada’s Switch 2 listing also specifies one player on a single system. The official pages reviewed describe no separate co-op, versus, online, or challenge mode, so the announced game should be understood as a single-player adventure rather than a multiplayer title.

“Play mode” can also refer to how a console is used, which is different from an in-game mode. Nintendo Canada lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play for the Switch 2 version. These are ways to play on that hardware; they do not indicate separate campaigns or multiplayer options. No equivalent display-mode details are established here for PlayStation 5 or PC.

Which platforms are announced, and when is it planned to release?
In an announcement dated October 9, 2026, KRAFTON Japan said Waltz and Jam was planned for global release on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam on December 3, 2026. Because that date is in the future as of October 13, 2026, it should be treated as the announced plan, not as a confirmed launch or a guarantee that every regional storefront will list the game at the same time.
KRAFTON Japan also said a Steam demo is available. That statement is specific to Steam; it does not establish that a demo is available on Switch 2 or PS5. The announcement and store information do not provide release-day regional timing, a price, or cross-save and cross-play details.

What PC does the Steam version require?
Steam lists the following minimum and recommended specifications. They are store-listed requirements, not the results of an independent performance test. Meeting the minimum indicates the listed baseline; it does not by itself establish a particular resolution, frame rate, or graphics setting.

Steam says the game has full controller support and that the developers recommend a controller. Controller play is optional in the sense that it is a recommendation, not a stated prerequisite. The listing does not establish a specific controller model or explain the keyboard-and-mouse controls.
What is confirmed, and what remains unclear?
The strongest confirmed picture is of a solo platforming adventure built around a recurring combination of traversal, environmental puzzles, toys, Jam’s transformations, combat, and world-ending bosses. Official store and publisher descriptions give enough to explain the concept, but they do not answer every practical question a player may have before release.
