Black Ops 6 Season 02 introduced one new Zombies map: The Tomb. Call of Duty announced it for the season’s launch on January 28, 2025. The map continues the story after Citadelle des Morts, sending the crew into a cursed archaeological site in search of the Sentinel Artifact.
What Zombies map did Season 2 add?
The new map is The Tomb. Although the season announcement’s headline refers to Zombies maps in the plural, the official Season 02 announcement establishes The Tomb as the new map; it does not substantiate multiple new Zombies maps for the season. Call of Duty’s Season 02 announcement described the setting as a long-forgotten dig site and invited players to follow “the footsteps of a doomed explorer” while seeking a “door to nowhere.”

When did The Tomb launch?
The official announcement said The Tomb would arrive with Season 02 on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. That is the announced launch date, not a claim about present-day availability on any particular platform or edition.
Where does The Tomb fit in the Zombies story?
The Tomb follows the events of Citadelle des Morts. Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey carry the amulet from the Citadel to a cursed excavation site and its catacombs. Their goal is to find the Sentinel Artifact, which could offer hope of freeing Samantha Maxis from the Dark Aether. The preceding story is set out in the official Citadelle des Morts announcement.

What makes the map’s setting distinctive?
The Tomb takes place in an ancient underground archaeological site, including catacombs and the mysterious door described in the reveal. Its environmental combat also includes hazards that can release Aetheric fire when struck with the correct projectile, according to the Season 02 announcement.
Was Directed Mode available at launch?
Directed Mode for The Tomb is documented in the later Season 02 patch notes. That establishes it as a post-launch addition; it should not be assumed to have been available when the map first launched.

Is The Tomb a separate purchase?
The Tomb is in-game Zombies content for Black Ops 6, which includes round-based Zombies, rather than a separately presented map purchase. The official Black Ops 6 launch page provides the game context. Availability can depend on the game and platform; the cited announcement does not establish current store stock or pricing.
