Phantom Blade Zero is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC, with the PC edition listed on Steam and the Epic Games Store. S-GAME’s website gives October 29, 2026 as the release date, while both PC storefronts currently display October 28, 2026.
For PC, the published baseline is Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM and an SSD. S-GAME targets 1080p at 30 frames per second on its minimum configuration and 1440p at 60 fps on its recommended configuration, with upscaling enabled in both cases.

Confirmed platforms
The official pages reviewed establish two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. On PC, the game is listed on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. No reviewed official listing confirms an Xbox or Nintendo Switch edition, so those platforms should be treated as unconfirmed rather than ruled out permanently.
The game is described as a single-player wuxia action title. You play Soul, a warrior with 66 days left to live, and the store descriptions advertise more than 30 primary weapons and more than 20 Phantom Edges. Those are details about the game’s content, not additional hardware requirements.

PlayStation 5 features
PlayStation’s US listing identifies the PS5 version as supporting DualSense adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, Tempest 3D AudioTech and PS5 Pro Enhanced support. These are console features; they do not translate into PC requirements or establish an equivalent PC performance level.
Windows PC storefronts
Steam and Epic are the currently identified PC purchase and download platforms. Their listings provide the same core minimum and recommended hardware information, while the Epic page also confirms Windows availability. The storefront pages are useful for checking the final launch listing, regional availability and any later specification updates.
Release date: why listings show two days
S-GAME’s main website states October 29, 2026. Steam currently shows October 28, 2026, and Epic displays the same earlier date. The reviewed pages do not explain whether the difference comes from regional timing, a store display convention or another scheduling detail.

Phantom Blade Zero PC requirements at a glance
S-GAME’s requirements announcement, dated August 12, 2026, separates ordinary rendering targets from ray-tracing and path-tracing recommendations. The first two rows are complete baseline configurations. The two tracing rows specify a graphics card and a target, but do not provide a separate processor, memory or storage specification.
| Configuration | Processor | Graphics card | Memory and storage | Publisher target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB | 16GB RAM; SSD required | 1080p at 30 fps with upscaling enabled |
| Recommended | Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB | 16GB RAM; SSD required | 1440p at 60 fps with upscaling enabled |
| Ray tracing recommended | Not listed for this mode | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB | Separate RAM and storage figures are not listed | 1080p at 60 fps with upscaling enabled |
| Path tracing recommended | Not listed for this mode | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB | Separate RAM and storage figures are not listed | 2160p at 60 fps with upscaling enabled |
These are the publisher’s stated targets, not independent benchmark results. They include upscaling, so they should not be read as a promise that the game will render every pixel at the listed native resolution or that every system with the named parts will deliver an identical frame rate.
What the minimum configuration means
Processor
The minimum CPU choices are the Intel Core i7-8700K and AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Both are six-core desktop processors from older generations, but the requirement is model-specific: a newer or older chip cannot be judged by the name alone. Core count, architecture, clock behavior and game-specific performance all matter. If your processor is below these models, the published 1080p/30-fps target is not established for it.
Graphics card and VRAM
The minimum GPU pair is a GeForce GTX 1660 with 6GB of VRAM or a Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB. The two cards are alternative reference points, not a statement that every card with the same memory capacity is equivalent. A card’s generation, driver support and architecture affect results as much as the VRAM number.
Rank #3
Operating system, memory and storage
The baseline requires a 64-bit installation of Windows 10 or Windows 11, DirectX 12 and 16GB of system memory. An SSD is mandatory. S-GAME does not state the minimum SSD capacity or the game’s total installation size, so you should not reserve a specific number of gigabytes based on this announcement alone.
What the recommended configuration adds
The recommended CPU options are Intel Core i5-10600K and AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. The graphics alternatives are GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB and Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB. Like the minimum row, this configuration calls for 16GB of RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 and an SSD.
S-GAME associates this tier with 1440p at 60 fps using upscaling. That target is more demanding than the minimum 1080p/30-fps target, but it remains a publisher estimate rather than a measured review result. Settings such as shadows, effects, crowd density, resolution scale and upscaling mode can all affect the final outcome.

Ray tracing
The ray-tracing row names an RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM and a target of 1080p at 60 fps with upscaling enabled. It does not name a CPU, RAM amount or SSD capacity for this mode. Therefore, the RTX 5060 is a graphics recommendation only, not a complete system specification.

Path tracing
The path-tracing row names an RTX 5080 with 16GB of VRAM and targets 2160p at 60 fps with upscaling enabled. Again, no mode-specific processor, memory or storage details are supplied. Do not infer that the ordinary recommended CPU and 16GB of RAM are officially sufficient for path tracing; the announcement does not say so.
Why the tracing rows should not be compared as full builds
The minimum and recommended entries describe complete baseline systems. The ray-tracing and path-tracing entries describe only a GPU reference and an output target. You can compare their graphics demands, but there is not enough published information to build a complete, mode-specific shopping list from those rows.
Can your PC run Phantom Blade Zero?
Start with the four items that S-GAME specifies for both complete baseline tiers: a 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 installation, DirectX 12, 16GB of RAM and an SSD. Then compare your processor and graphics card against the minimum row.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Open Settings > System > About in Windows to check your processor and installed memory.
- Press Windows key + R, enter
dxdiag, and check the operating system and DirectX version shown by the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. - Open Task Manager > Performance to identify your GPU model and installed VRAM. If the model is not shown clearly, use the graphics driver utility supplied with your card.
- In Task Manager > Performance > Disk, identify whether the installation drive is an SSD. The requirement says an SSD is needed, but does not specify a capacity.
- Compare your CPU and GPU with the minimum alternatives in the table. Meeting or exceeding both reference parts is the closest available compatibility check; it is not a guarantee of a fixed frame rate.
If your system matches the recommended CPU and GPU class, the published 1440p/60-fps target is the relevant reference. If you want ray tracing or path tracing, use the separate GPU rows and remember that their CPU and RAM requirements have not been published.

What “with upscaling enabled” changes
Every performance target in the announcement includes upscaling. Upscaling renders the game internally at a lower resolution and reconstructs the output at the requested display resolution. This can reduce the GPU workload, but image quality and performance depend on the selected upscaling method, internal resolution and quality preset.
Consequently, “1080p/30” in the minimum row does not mean native 1080p rendering at 30 fps under every scene. It means S-GAME’s stated target when upscaling is enabled. The same qualification applies to the 1440p, ray-tracing and path-tracing targets.
Important limits of the published specifications
- No SSD capacity or total installation size is stated.
- The ray-tracing row does not provide a CPU, RAM or storage configuration.
- The path-tracing row does not provide a CPU, RAM or storage configuration.
- The listed frame rates are publisher targets that use upscaling, not independent laboratory measurements.
- No reviewed source supplies a guaranteed performance result for a particular laptop, desktop, graphics-card partner model or driver version.
These omissions matter when planning an upgrade. A graphics card alone cannot establish complete compatibility, and buying a larger SSD based on an invented installation-size estimate would be guesswork. Wait for the final store metadata or an official update for those details.
PS5 or PC: which version fits your setup?
Choose PS5 if you want a fixed console platform with the DualSense, Tempest 3D AudioTech and PS5 Pro Enhanced features identified by PlayStation. Choose PC if you want access through Steam or Epic and already have hardware near the published requirements, along with the ability to adjust graphics settings and upscaling.
The available sources do not establish a performance equivalence between the PS5 version and any listed PC tier. A PS5 feature description should therefore not be converted into a claim that a particular PC graphics card will match the console’s image quality or frame rate.
Bottom line for buyers and upgraders
The confirmed launch platforms are PS5 and Windows PC. On PC, the safest published starting point is the minimum combination of an i7-8700K/Ryzen 5 3600-class processor, GTX 1660/RX 5500 XT-class graphics, 16GB of RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 and an SSD. For the stated 1440p/60-fps target, S-GAME points to an i5-10600K/Ryzen 5 5600X-class CPU and RTX 3060 Ti/RX 6700 XT-class GPU.
Release-date displays currently conflict by one day: the publisher says October 29, 2026, while Steam and Epic show October 28. Check your regional store listing near launch, and do not treat the tracing recommendations as complete system requirements until S-GAME provides the missing CPU, memory and storage details.
