Rainbow Six Siege brought Homelander into the game as an Ace cosmetic—not as a new playable operator. The March 2025 crossover also paired Black Noir with Deimos. The available evidence confirms those character-to-operator choices, but not the specific design detail or fan reaction behind the “can’t believe” headline.
Homelander appeared as an Ace cosmetic
The crossover represented Homelander through an in-game cosmetic for Ace. That distinction matters: Siege did not add Homelander as a separate playable operator. IGN’s March 18, 2025 video description said Homelander and Black Noir were coming to Siege “as Ace and Demios respectively”; the operator’s name is spelled Deimos in Siege. IGN’s description also said the bundles were available at the time.
What the original crossover included
Layer Licensing lists the Rainbow Six Siege x The Boys crossover as released on March 18, 2025, and describes it as adding Homelander and Black Noir skins for two operators. Its listing identifies the pairings as Homelander for Ace and Black Noir for Deimos. Layer Licensing’s listing is a licensing tracker, not an official Ubisoft announcement.
- Homelander: Ace cosmetic.
- Black Noir: Deimos cosmetic.
The sources establish the crossover and these operator pairings, but do not substantiate a particular visual change, joke, or controversial design choice. They also do not verify how many fans reacted or why. So the headline’s reaction framing should not be taken as proof of a documented controversy.

The later Soldier Boy bundle was a separate crossover
Ubisoft announced another The Boys collaboration for Siege in 2026: Blackbeard dressed as Soldier Boy. The bundle included the Patriotic Prestige charm, Payback Leader headgear and uniform, a portrait, Liberty Defender shield skin, and Operation Charly background. Ubisoft’s Steam announcement set the limited-time event window from January 26, 2026, at 14:00 UTC to February 2, 2026, at 14:00 UTC. That window had ended by October 8, 2026.
Ubisoft also set a challenge to hit 15 enemy Operators with the bundle’s Liberty Defender shield skin. That is a gameplay challenge requirement, not a measure of audience response.

Are the Homelander cosmetics available now?
The available sources do not establish whether the original Homelander and Black Noir cosmetics can be purchased on October 8, 2026. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege news page shows updates through September 2026, confirming that Siege continues to receive updates, but that does not confirm current stock for a 2025 cosmetic. Ubisoft’s Siege news page is not an availability listing for the original crossover.
