Reporting on an August 2026 wave of unauthorized Grand Theft Auto VI clips described two separate appearances of Lucia: a brief cutscene at the end of a nighttime vehicle clip, then a longer sequence presented as the opening minutes of the story, with Lucia in prison. Those descriptions come from coverage of leaked development footage—not an official Rockstar reveal—and do not confirm what will appear in the finished game.
What the reported clips appear to show
Dot Esports’ roundup of the August leak wave, updated August 26, 2026, attributed multiple clips to a leaker group or account called Cyberleek. The outlet described two Lucia-related moments:

- An earlier nighttime vehicle clip reportedly ended with a brief cutscene snippet featuring Lucia.
- A later release was described as the first several minutes of story footage, showing Lucia in prison.
These are the outlet’s descriptions of unauthorized clips. They should not be read as proof that every circulating repost is genuine, that the footage is complete, or that the sequences and details will be present in the retail game. The reporting also does not independently establish claims that the leaker had access to a complete development build.

How the leak differs from Rockstar’s official footage
Rockstar published “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look — Now Playing” on August 27, 2026. The publisher says that extended look was captured entirely from in-game PlayStation 5 footage. It is an official comparison point, but it does not verify or comment on the specific Lucia clips described in leak coverage.
| Material | Provenance | What it supports | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lucia-related August clips | Unauthorized footage attributed by Dot Esports to Cyberleek | What the outlet says the clips appear to show: a brief Lucia appearance and a later prison sequence | Authenticity of every repost, completeness of the footage, or final-game content |
| August 27 extended look | Official Rockstar release, described as entirely in-game PS5 footage | That Rockstar published this official footage and characterized its capture as in-game PS5 footage | That it authenticates the leaked clips or confirms their specific scenes |
What can and cannot be concluded about Lucia
The reporting provides a limited account of scenes attributed to development footage. It does not establish Lucia’s full backstory, the context of a prison sequence, how the scene fits into the finished story, or whether any visible mechanic or detail will survive development. Treat claims about those matters as unconfirmed unless Rockstar publishes them through an official source.

Rockstar’s official extended look and the unauthorized clips are different kinds of evidence: one is publisher-released footage with an accompanying statement about its capture; the other is a news outlet’s description of material attributed to a leak. Neither the existence of official footage nor its timing authenticates the separate clips.
