The Fancy Bow is a very rare head item that Tink gives you after your first kitten donation. Its documented use is a powerful, late-game interaction with the final boss—not a benefit for ordinary fights. Spoilers for the final boss follow.
What does the Fancy Bow do?
According to the Mewgenics Wiki’s Fancy Bow entry, a cat wearing the bow can attack the Destroyer during the final boss encounter’s second phase. The attack deals a large amount of damage—typically displayed as 999—and advances the fight to its third and final phase. The wiki documents this as the bow’s special payoff; it does not describe a routine combat bonus.
This is a community-wiki account, not a developer confirmation or an independently verified test. The exact attack conditions and whether the interaction has changed in a patch are not established by the cited sources.
How do you get the Fancy Bow?
Tink awards the Fancy Bow the first time you donate a kitten to him; his wiki page specifies that the first donation is one kitten. The item is listed as a Very Rare head item.

Tink’s dialogue, reproduced on the item page, calls the bow potentially useless at first and warns, “Don’t you dare throw it away!” In light of the item’s reported boss interaction, that warning is worth taking seriously.
Should you keep it?
Yes, if you still have it. The item wiki reports that the bow can be lost by rerolling it, letting its equipped cat die, or putting it in the trash, and that no method to reacquire it is known. That makes keeping it the safer choice if you want access to its documented final-boss interaction.

Why do some guides say it has no effect?
PC Gamer’s guide, published February 16, 2026, said the bow did not appear to have a practical effect and advised keeping it. That description predates the current item-wiki entry documenting the Destroyer interaction. Treat the older account as a record of what was reported then, rather than the best available description of the bow’s use now.
