Fortnite Festival Season 10 was not just a rumor: Epic Games announced Gorillaz as its featured act on August 25, 2025, and said the season would debut the following day. The earlier Gorillaz reports were leaks before that announcement; the band’s Season 10 appearance is now confirmed history, not an unverified prediction.
What was leaked for Fortnite Festival Season 10?
Before Epic’s announcement, reports pointed to Gorillaz as the next Festival headliner. MusicRadar covered the rumor on August 21, 2025: its pre-announcement report reflected uncertainty among players about the group. Four days later, Epic officially announced Gorillaz as the Season 10 icons, ending the uncertainty around the headline leak.
Epic’s announcement was titled “Gorillaz Enter a New Universe as Fortnite Festival Season 10 Icons!” and set the debut for August 26, 2025. It named Noodle, 2D, Russel Hobbs, and Murdoc Niccals as the featured characters. The official announcement is available at Fortnite.com.
Was Gorillaz confirmed for Fortnite Festival?
Yes. Epic confirmed Gorillaz in its August 25, 2025 announcement. The four band members were not all offered in the same way: Russel Hobbs was an early Music Pass reward, Murdoc Niccals was the pass’s final outfit reward, and Noodle and 2D appeared in a shop bundle. The announcement also noted that pass rewards might be offered in the Shop later; that was a possibility, not a guarantee about when or whether any particular reward would return.

What songs were in the Fortnite Festival Season 10 pass?
Epic’s Season 10 announcement placed “On Melancholy Hill” among the later Music Pass rewards. “DARE” and “Clint Eastwood” were shop Jam Tracks, not pass tracks. Other pass tracks named in the announcement included:
- “MONTAGEM TOMADA (Slowed)” by MXZI
- “Run It Up” by Hanumankind
- “Interstate Love Song” by Stone Temple Pilots
- Several tracks by Epic Games
The season’s Music Pass was listed at 1,400 V-Bucks or as accessible through Fortnite Crew at that time. Those are Season 10 terms from the August 2025 announcement, not a statement of current prices or availability.

What changed in Festival during Season 10?
Alongside the Gorillaz content, Epic announced a new Main Stage and several playability and library changes:
- A “Good” note judgment for inputs that were slightly early or late, with an option to turn off that visual feedback.
- Redesigned lift-note connectors, also with an option to disable the new design.
- Library sorting by song duration or intensity.
- The ability to strum while tuning up a guitar controller.
These were features announced for Season 10; they should not be confused with a promise that every detail or setting remains unchanged in the current game.

Is Fortnite Festival ending?
No. Epic says Festival is continuing, though its Battle Stage mode went offline on April 16, 2026, with release 40.20. Epic said it would keep improving Main Stage, Jam Stage, and music features available throughout Fortnite. The end of Battle Stage therefore did not mean the end of Fortnite Festival. Epic describes Jam Tracks as usable in Main Stage, Jam Stage, Battle Royale music moments, and the lobby. Main Stage offers Lead, Drum, Vocals, and Bass, along with Pro Lead and Pro Bass when using a compatible guitar controller. Jam Stage is for building collaborative mixes with instrument loops. Do you need a guitar controller for Fortnite Festival?
No physical instrument is needed for ordinary Festival play. A connected guitar controller is required to select the Pro Lead or Pro Bass parts. Pro Drums are a separate option designed for wireless Rock Band 4 drum peripherals and configured MIDI kits, but compatibility depends on the platform and hardware setup.
Epic’s current Pro Drums compatibility table lists supported combinations including Xbox One Rock Band 4 drums with kick pedal and cymbals on Windows when used with an Xbox controller dongle; PS4 Rock Band 4 drums on PS4 and PS5; and e-kits or other MIDI devices on Windows. The table marks those listed combinations unsupported on other platforms. Check the table before choosing or connecting a kit, since support is platform-specific. No particular controller is necessary to follow or access the Season 10 content.

What happened to Season 10 creator guidance?
Epic’s Season 10 announcement said monetization of videos on demand featuring eligible Jam Tracks would be limited to the season’s first seven days. It named “Clint Eastwood” and “DARE” as eligible during that period, warned creators to expect rights-holder claims afterward, and separately noted that Twitch could issue third-party flags. This was time-limited guidance for Season 10, not a current guarantee for uploads or a policy statement covering other platforms.
