If your Roblox account seems deleted, first check whether you deactivated it, requested deletion, received a moderation notice, or simply cannot sign in. Try logging in to reactivate an account you deactivated; use Roblox’s recovery tools for forgotten credentials; and appeal a moderation action through the route in its notice. A user-requested deletion is a separate privacy process, so contact Roblox Support if you need help with it. None of these steps guarantees that a moderated or deleted account can be restored.
First identify what happened to the account
“Deleted” can describe several different situations, and the right next step depends on which one applies. Check for a moderation notice, consider whether you chose deactivation or deletion, and try the official recovery flow if you may have forgotten your login details.
| What may have happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| You deactivated the account | Try signing in at Roblox.com; Roblox says logging in reactivates a deactivated account. Roblox Support: deactivate or delete an account. |
| You requested deletion | For help with the privacy deletion request, contact Roblox Support. Roblox describes deletion separately from deactivation. Roblox Support: deactivate or delete an account. |
| Roblox moderated or banned the account | Follow the appeal route in the moderation notice. An appeal is a request for review, not a promise of reinstatement. Roblox Support: appeal moderation. |
| You cannot remember the username or password | Use Roblox’s official username or password recovery options before concluding the account was deleted. Forgot username and forgot password. |
If you deactivated your Roblox account
Go to Roblox.com and try logging in with the account’s credentials. Roblox says that logging in reactivates an account that was deactivated. Deactivation disables the account and hides its profile, although some information, such as Marketplace listings, may remain visible. See Roblox’s deactivation guidance.
If Roblox moderated or banned the account
Open the moderation notification and use the appeal instructions it provides. Eligible violation categories may offer Roblox’s Violations & Appeals route. If the violation is not listed there, or the notice directs you elsewhere, use the Roblox Support Form.

- Deck out your avatar and unlock additional perks in your favorite experiences when you use Roblox Gift Cards to purchase Robux (Roblox's virtual currency).
- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
- Check the notice for the moderation action and the appeal route.
- Submit the appeal from a valid email address associated with the account. Include the account username and a brief explanation of why the decision should be reviewed.
- Submit promptly. Roblox’s support guidance gives a general deadline of 30 days after the moderation action; for users in the EU, it states six months to appeal an initial moderation action. Follow the current notice and instructions if they differ.
Roblox says an action that has already been reviewed cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed. It also states: “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.” Read Roblox’s appeal guidance.
If you requested deletion
Roblox describes account deletion as a privacy request to delete personal information it collects or maintains; it is not the same as deactivation. The deletion option is in privacy settings under Account data, deactivation & deletion. Roblox says a verified email is required and that it will take steps to verify your identity. If you cannot sign in or need help with the request, contact Roblox Support.

Do not assume that a deletion request can be reversed or that every piece of data disappears immediately. Roblox says some data may remain stored for a period when it must be retained for tax, legal, or security reasons; this does not establish that the account can be restored. Roblox’s Right to Access Reports guidance.
If you may have forgotten your username or password
Find the username
Use Roblox’s Forgot Username flow. Username recovery can send matching usernames to an email address or phone number previously associated with the account. Some Roblox purchase receipts may also show the username. If the account had neither contact detail and you have no purchase history that identifies it, Roblox says its username recovery methods cannot recover the username.
