If status shows all systems operational, work through the fix list for your device: Windows desktop, Mac, or iPhone and iPad. Roblox Support is the next step if those steps fail.
Start with Roblox Status
Open the Roblox Status page and look for an active incident. A service-wide problem can affect more than one device or account at once, so a status check first saves time. At the time of checking on October 8, 2026, the page showed “All Systems Operational.” Its history listed a site issue on October 5, 2026 that affected user, player, and creator components, marked resolved at 16:13 PDT. Status changes, so check the live page rather than relying on that snapshot.
Windows: browser-launch and desktop failures
Roblox’s official desktop help page lists three common symptoms: the browser cannot find Roblox, an endless install loop continues after installation, or Roblox or Roblox Studio crashes while connecting to an experience or opening a place. The page names several possible causes:
- Roblox or another program still running during installation
- Corrupted temporary files
- A firewall block
- Corrupted Roblox files
These are possible causes, not a diagnosis of any one computer. Work through the steps below in order, and check each one before moving on.

Fix sequence for Windows
- Close other programs, then restart the computer and try launching Roblox again.
- Clear the browser’s temporary internet files and cookies, then retry the launch from the browser.
- Check whether firewall or internet-security software is blocking Roblox. Open its allowed-apps or exceptions settings and confirm Roblox is permitted.
- Reinstall Roblox if the earlier steps do not work. Close other programs before installing or updating.
Roblox’s desktop page says it directly: “Please try each step below, one at a time, in order. If one solution doesn’t work, move on to the next!”
Mac: reinstall, then check the launch path
Roblox’s Mac help article begins with a reinstall and a restart. If the problem remains, work through the following steps in order.

- Restart the Mac and reinstall Roblox.
- Confirm the Roblox app is in the Applications folder and pinned to the Dock. If a website fails to launch an experience, start Roblox from the Dock instead.
- If Safari is the browser causing the trouble, try a supported browser such as Firefox or Chrome.
- Delete Roblox preference files under Library > Preferences so that the Player or Studio can recreate them. Follow Roblox’s instructions for which files to remove.
- Remove Roblox logs from ~/Library/Logs/Roblox/, then reproduce the problem so the logs reflect the failure.
Treat the file removal in steps 4 and 5 as a troubleshooting step. Move only the files Roblox names, and do not delete other folders in Library.
If Roblox still does not open, send Roblox Support the Mac model, the macOS version, the exact error, the steps that reproduce the problem, and any recent device or network changes.

iPhone and iPad: restart, reinstall, then check the clock
Roblox’s iOS support article lists this sequence:
- Force close Roblox and reopen it. Use the current iOS app-switching gesture for your model, because some on-screen instructions in the article reflect older iOS interfaces.
- Restart the device.
- Delete Roblox and reinstall it from the App Store.
- Clear Roblox cookies using Apple’s instructions for clearing website data on iOS.
- Check that the date and time on the device are accurate, including the time zone.
Keep iOS and the Roblox app current. If the app still will not open, contact Roblox Support with your device model, iOS version, the exact error, the steps that reproduce the problem, and any recent device or connection changes.

Android, Chromebook, Xbox, and PlayStation
The Roblox platform guidance available for this article does not establish detailed launch-failure steps for Android, Chromebook, Xbox, or PlayStation. For those devices, use the Roblox Support articles written for that exact device and problem. On Android or Chromebook, confirm the Roblox app is current and that the device meets the requirements listed below before reinstalling. Compatibility is a common reason an app will not open on an older device, but the published requirements only tell you whether a device is supported. They do not show that a particular device needs replacing. Identify the device model, operating system, error, and results of the steps above before deciding anything else.

When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Roblox Support when the platform steps above do not restore launch. Include the following details so support can reproduce the problem:
