Short answer: the post-credits sequence discussed in October 2026 coverage is reported recovered cut content, not a confirmed scene in the released version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. You should treat descriptions of it as accounts of unfinished footage rather than as an included ending or established new canon.
The reported clip is about one minute long and is set in London several years after the events of Black Flag. Edward Kenway calls for help, Adéwalé reportedly answers, and Miko appears in connection with the British Assassin Brotherhood. The footage is said to contain incomplete animation and placeholder elements.

Is the Black Flag Resynced post-credits scene in the game?
There is no confirmation that the reported sequence appears after the credits in the shipped game. Insider Gaming described it on October 10, 2026, as recovered cut footage, and VGTimes characterized the material on October 12 as visibly unfinished. Neither report establishes that Ubisoft left the scene in the released build.

The material currently being discussed is instead a development artifact: a sequence that was apparently created, then removed or left incomplete before release. Until Ubisoft identifies it as part of the final game, it is more accurate to call it the reported cut post-credits sequence or unfinished recovered footage.

What Ubisoft has officially confirmed
Ubisoft describes Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced as a remake based on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Its listed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a release date of July 9, 2026. Ubisoft’s public game information does not, in the available reporting, confirm the recovered sequence.
What reportedly happens in the recovered footage
The scene description comes from secondary reports about footage that was found outside the released game. Details should therefore be read as a reconstruction of what the clip shows, not as a developer-approved synopsis.
Edward calls for help in London
Insider Gaming reports that the sequence takes place in London roughly five years after the ending of Black Flag. Edward Kenway is shown calling for assistance. The location and time jump place the scene after Edward’s Caribbean story and move the action into the setting associated with his later life.
Adéwalé is the person who answers
According to the same report, Adéwalé is the only person who responds to Edward’s call. That gives the clip a direct relationship to a major character from the original game, but the report does not establish that the exchange was finalized, voiced in its final form or retained in the remake.
Miko appears with a British Brotherhood connection
Miko is also reported to appear, linked to the British Assassin Brotherhood. VGTimes similarly describes the footage as featuring Miko. Coverage connects that appearance to the wider series timeline and to Assassin’s Creed III, where Miko is part of the historical background.
This is a reported continuity connection, not proof that the remake has added a new canonical chapter. A cut scene can reflect an abandoned story direction, an experiment in connecting games or material that was never approved as final narrative.
When is the scene supposed to take place?
VGTimes links the sequence to a reference to the death of King George I and places the events around 1727. Insider Gaming instead gives the relative description that the action occurs about five years after the game’s ending. Those details provide context, but neither is an independently verified official date for a finished scene.

| Time reference | How it is described | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| About five years after Black Flag | Insider Gaming’s description of the recovered sequence | A relative timeframe reported for the clip, not a confirmed release-game event |
| Around 1727 | VGTimes infers the period from the reference to King George I’s death | Reported timeline context rather than an official date announced by Ubisoft |
| July 9, 2026 | Ubisoft’s listed release date for Black Flag Resynced | The date for the remake, not the date of the recovered footage |
The 1727 setting is broadly consistent with a story set several years after Edward’s original campaign, but the footage’s historical reference does not by itself prove that Ubisoft intended to publish it or that every event shown remains part of the series’ final chronology.
Why the footage should not be treated as confirmed canon
Both reports emphasize the unfinished state of the material. VGTimes notes incomplete animation and placeholder elements. Those signs are important: they indicate that the sequence was not presented as a polished, final cinematic.
- Cut content is not the same as shipped content. A scene can exist in development files without appearing in the retail game.
- An unfinished scene can represent an abandoned direction. Characters, dates and relationships may change before a story is approved.
- A continuity reference is not a canon announcement. Miko’s reported presence may connect the clip to Assassin’s Creed III, but it does not confirm a new official bridge between the games.
- Recovered footage does not prove a larger project. VGTimes specifically cautions that finding the clip does not establish that an expansion or another game entered full development.
For now, the strongest defensible wording is that the footage appears to show one possible continuation of Edward’s story, preserved in an incomplete form and excluded from the confirmed release narrative.
Does this prove a Black Flag Resynced expansion or sequel?
No. None of the cited reports establishes that Ubisoft approved an expansion, sequel or separate project based on the sequence. A one-minute cut scene can have been made for many reasons: an early story pitch, a test of character continuity, a planned ending later removed, or material created before the scope of a project changed.
There is also no reported evidence here of a production schedule, announced team, release plan or completed expansion. The existence of the footage demonstrates that the sequence was developed to some degree; it does not reveal how far any broader project progressed.

Edward Kenway
Edward is the central character of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. In the reported clip, he is the person seeking help in London. Because the remake is based on that game, his presence is expected; what is new is the reported later setting and the call for assistance.
Adéwalé
Adéwalé, Edward’s former quartermaster and fellow Assassin, is reported to answer the call. The report does not say whether he arrives alone beyond the scene’s described exchange, nor does it establish a finalized mission or playable encounter.

Miko
Miko’s reported appearance is the element that most directly invites comparison with the wider series. Coverage associates her with the British Assassin Brotherhood and with Assassin’s Creed III. That association helps explain why fans see the clip as a potential bridge, but the unfinished presentation means it should remain a reported connection rather than a confirmed addition to the remake’s canon.

If you are deciding whether to play Black Flag Resynced, use Ubisoft’s product information—not the leaked or recovered clip—as the guide to what is actually available. The remake is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and is presented as a reworked version of Black Flag. The available reports do not state that the recovered sequence can be unlocked by finishing the campaign, waiting through the credits or meeting a hidden condition.
In other words, completing the game should not be expected to reveal the reported London scene unless Ubisoft separately confirms that it was restored in a patch, bonus feature or another official release. No such confirmation is established by the coverage described here.
Collector’s Edition and other official extras
Ubisoft’s listing includes a Collector’s Edition with an Edward figurine, a wearable metal brooch, an exclusive SteelBook and a cloth map, along with other listed items. The page also lists an original game soundtrack. Those products are separate from the recovered sequence: the available information does not say that the Collector’s Edition contains the cut scene or any video archive of it.
Availability, stock and regional contents can change, so the edition listing should be checked for your territory before purchase. Nothing in the reported footage changes what is included in the standard game or establishes a physical release for the soundtrack.
What is known, and what remains unconfirmed
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Is there a reported scene? | Yes. Two October 2026 reports describe recovered footage of roughly one minute. |
| Is it confirmed in the released game? | No. The reports identify it as cut or recovered material, and Ubisoft has not been cited confirming its inclusion. |
| Where does it take place? | London, according to Insider Gaming’s description. |
| When does it take place? | About five years after the game’s events; VGTimes places it around 1727 based on a King George I reference. |
| Who appears? | Edward Kenway, Adéwalé and Miko are the figures named in the reports. |
| Is Miko’s appearance final canon? | Not established. It is a feature of unfinished reported footage. |
| Does it confirm an expansion or sequel? | No. The reporting specifically warns against drawing that conclusion. |
Bottom line for fans
The story is interesting because it sketches a possible post-Black Flag continuation: Edward seeks help in London, Adéwalé responds and Miko links the moment to the British Brotherhood and the broader series timeline. But the evidence describes an unfinished, cut sequence rather than a secret ending waiting inside Black Flag Resynced.
Until Ubisoft officially restores, explains or canonizes the material, regard it as a glimpse of an abandoned narrative possibility—not as a scene guaranteed to play after the credits, and not as proof that an expansion or sequel was fully underway.
