Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues Cal Kestis’s story, but you can start with it without playing Jedi: Fallen Order first. Before you begin, check that your platform is supported and, on PC, compare your system with EA’s listed requirements. You can also change difficulty outside combat and review the game’s accessibility options.
Do you need to play Jedi: Fallen Order first?
No. Electronic Arts says the games can stand alone, so Jedi: Survivor is an option for newcomers. It is nevertheless the next chapter in Cal Kestis’s story: EA describes it as taking place five years after Jedi: Fallen Order. Playing the earlier game may provide context, but it is not a prerequisite—and progress does not transfer between the games.

Does your PC meet the requirements?
EA’s support page lists the following PC requirements. These are hardware specifications, not a promise of a particular resolution or frame rate.
| Specification | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 or newer | Windows 10 or newer |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 | Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 (EA support page) |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | 8 GB VRAM; GTX 1070 or RX 580 class or better | 8 GB VRAM; RTX 2070 or RX 6700 XT class or better |
| Storage | 155 GB free space | 155 GB SSD |
There is a discrepancy in EA’s published recommended processor: its product page lists an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, while its support page lists a Ryzen 5 1400. For a purchase or upgrade decision, check EA’s current system-requirements page and the PC storefront listing. The stated 155 GB storage requirement and memory figures are requirements, not measured performance results.
