Why the weapon comes first for upgrade stones

Your weapon is the most direct stone investment for early progression because it improves the equipment that determines your damage output. A stronger weapon can help you clear stages, bosses, and resource content sooner, allowing access to better progression rewards.
The Enhance attribute bonus persists beyond one weapon
The key reason for prioritizing the weapon is the Enhance attribute bonus described in the Clashiverse community guide by Amir Shiraz, published December 25, 2023. The guide says that stones invested in a weapon continue to contribute to the Enhance bonus after you move to a better weapon. In practical terms, replacing the item does not make every earlier stone worthless; part of the account-level progression remains represented by the bonus.

Balance weapon and armor rather than chasing one large number
Weapons generally address damage checks, while armor can determine whether you survive long enough for that damage to matter. After your weapon is established, add armor when deaths, incoming damage, or a stage timer shows that defense is the limiting factor. The 2023 guide also suggests allocating summons primarily to weapons before catching armor up; that summon advice is separate from stone spending, but it illustrates the same progression principle: solve the stat that currently blocks advancement.

Head bonuses and Hold effects
Stones are also used for heads. The guide specifically recommends Skull Attack, Skull HP, and Skull Defense bonus heads because of their extra damage or survivability and mentions heads that provide additional Hold effects. Treat that as a build recommendation, not a universal best-in-slot list. A Hold-focused head can be valuable if your damage pattern or stage strategy depends on controlling enemies; it is less urgent when raw weapon damage is what prevents progress.
Compare a head upgrade with the next weapon or armor enhancement using three questions:

Refinement materials

The guide also advises delaying emblems until you have a System T4 red sword because emblems act as percentage multipliers. This is a sequencing recommendation: a multiplier is generally more useful when it multiplies a stronger underlying weapon. Verify that the same item tiers and systems still exist in your current version before following the sequence literally.

How to spend diamonds without a proven “best” purchase
Match the diamond color to the reward
A Pocket Gamer guide dated October 10, 2026 identifies blue diamonds as the currency for weapon summons and red diamonds as the currency for companion gacha. That establishes what each currency buys, but not which purchase has the highest value. Keep the balances separate in your planning: blue diamonds cannot be treated as a substitute for red diamonds when your bottleneck is companions.
Check the live offer before rolling
Current prices, event bonuses, pity rules, and shop rotations are not established in the available evidence. Before spending a large balance, open the relevant summon and shop pages and record:

Spend red diamonds when your companion roster or companion stats are the clear reason you cannot progress. If both areas are weak, use the current stage requirement to decide: a damage check points toward weapons; a survivability, utility, or companion-skill problem points toward companions.
A practical spending workflow
- Identify the blocker. Look at the stage, boss, or dungeon you cannot clear and decide whether damage, durability, control, or companion performance is responsible.
- Check your currencies separately. Note your upgrade stones, blue diamonds, and red diamonds. Do not exchange the purpose of one currency for another in your plan.
- Apply the weapon-first stone rule. If you are early in progression, upgrade the main weapon before heads or refinement.
- Compare the next enhancement values. Check the Enhance attribute increase from your weapon, lower-tier weapons, and armor. Favor the option that improves progression while preserving long-term bonus value.
- Inspect heads and refinement only after that comparison. Choose them when their specific effect solves the identified blocker.
- Review the live diamond offer. Confirm currency color, reward pool, price, guarantee, and expiration before summoning.
- Keep a reserve for a known target. If no current offer addresses your bottleneck, wait rather than spending by habit.
Where to earn more stones and diamonds

The Clashiverse guide identifies Tower of Treasure as a source of blue diamonds and dungeon tickets. Push as far as your account can reliably progress before spending those tickets, following the guide’s recommendation. Higher progression can improve the value of the tickets you already own, but the exact rewards can change with game updates.
Enhancement Stone Dungeon
The Enhancement Stone Dungeon is identified as a stone source and is also relevant to refinement materials. Use available attempts after deciding which upgrade will address your current blocker; farming without a spending plan can leave stones distributed across items that do not help you clear the next gate.

Saving every stone for a future weapon
Because the Enhance bonus can persist after replacement, early weapon spending is not automatically wasted. If an upgrade helps you progress now, use it rather than holding all stones indefinitely for an item you may not obtain soon.

A high-tier item is not always the most efficient source of Enhance growth. Check lower-tier weapons and armor before committing to an expensive level on the newest item.
Buying a head for its label alone
“Attack,” “HP,” or “Defense” in a head’s name does not prove it is your best purchase. Match the effect to the content you are failing and compare it with the persistent bonus from equipment enhancement.
Assuming a diamond ranking is permanent
Shop offers and events can alter value, while the available current guide confirms uses but not a best-first purchase. Re-evaluate the live screen each time you plan a major summon.
Following old mechanic advice without checking the client
A 2024 community discussion describes a Luck mechanic, recommends Luck Attack power bonus before Luck HP and Luck Defense power bonus, and discusses single rolls to find desirable stats before locking rows and using ten-rolls.
